Hey guys, I really want to know what you guys think. I'm 13 and LOVE GT5 and play it daily. I have 310 cars, level 37 a-spec, and level 40 b-spec. I'm getting annoyed when I go into rooms because I get kicked sometimes because of my age. Sometimes people ask everyones age and why lie? I say my real age then everyone complains and i get kicked. I'm a very good driver, I race clean, fair, and I NEVER use assist.... So what do you guys think of kids and younger teens playing? P.S. I'm willing to race you if you dont believe all that stuff! :) PSN: rap129

They are used to the annoying NFS crowd jumping in rooms. The only way to prevent yourself from being kicked is to either make your own room or lie. :)

There are a fair handful of teen players on this site and possibly run into similar problems. Though, I've never had this problem. All race clean, and all probably know of the hate they get online.

In a non-offensive way, people your age usually have that bad rep for being "the noob with the Veyron/Tank Car that'll go the wrong way and ruin the race". That's why you would get kicked. It has nothing to do with you as a person, but because of your age group. I'm 18, have a job, a license, and I am respected by fellow GT5ers, mainly because i'm 18. I wouldn't mind having you on my friends list if you're true to your word about being a good racer. Hit me up if your interested (PSN: ZDUPH). Having a mic or skype would be an added bonus too. :sly:

I've gotten kicked because of my age but I can pass off my age for being older because my voice is deep. I'm 14 by the way. Like someone said, it's because of the idiotic 10/12 year olds going backwards in a Veyron. I find the teens o GT5 to be a bit more grow up but that could just be me.

Never been in a room that anyone asked ages before. Well, unless someone is acting like a child. I would never kick because of age. I kick because of incompetence.

Yeah my voice is deep to so people don't notice my age when I rarely use my mic. Yeah, I'm not a boob lol *noob lol. I get what your saying about NFS crowd. Feel free to add!

16 and never had an issue. Although I am pretty respected in this game so I tend to get away with a bit more than usual haha.

I'm 18 and only ever told my age to a handful of people who I've done a few hundred races with.

If your a clean racer, and considerate to the drivers around you, age should make no difference.

Im 23 never had any problems or even seen people asked about ages, Best advice I can give is if your racing and give someone an accidental tap or anything make sure you say sorry as soon as the race finishes so as your not kicked and thought of as a noobie tween who cant drive :).

No-one's ever asked me my age online before.

Except that one guy who... but that's not important right now.

I'm 13, level 37 A Spec and level 32 B Spec (I think), and have around 330 cars...

I always kick Kids and Spainish people wiithout question. Not personal, its just easier to kick than babysit. The only exception would be a kid who prooved his skills before revealing his age.

If you are as good as you say you are, just lie about your age and dont use a mic.

By the way, is it ever a certain kind of room that have these people who ask about ages? Even if I haven't happen to myself, I've never witnessed such an event either.

Oh Famine. :O

No, people just go and say "yeah I'm 33 and blah blah blah" ANC others start saying theirs and I say mine. Not pervs or anything lol

Yeah, I've done that before and they still kick. I'm not saying I'm amazing but IN MY OPINION I'm very good for my age.

Don't reveal your age, simple. I don't kick anyone because of their age, that's not fair, I'll play against anyone no matter if they're 10 or 100, as long as they follow the rules of the room and aren't causing a disruption, I don't see the problem.

Ok mods please don't ban these people because they are 13.

I thought everyone was a kid who played this game as the stereotype is kids play video games. I always get made fun of for playing video games and I'm not even that old. Whenever I do a trade in this game the people always seem pretty cool than I'll get a message about them sorry they didn't send sooner but their kids had something to do etc. Whenever someone mentions their kids or wives it still freaks me out lol. I know the average person who plays this is like 33, but my mind is still slightly shocked.

I'm 14, and drive in a 3 car convoy on GT5. Never have I thought to tune my cars, or crash into other users on the game..

I understand what you mean.. It's usually because - A: They are incredibly dumb, -
B: They Can't drive C: Try to be annoying, or D: They try to make others mad. (In Some Cases All Of the Above) You how ever seem a little more mature then most 13 Year Olds in the Online World 👍

I'm 14 and never had age problems in drift lobbies, if anything then people say that I'm an amazing drifter for my age

I'm actually 13, and even when I tell them, they seem to accept me. It's not really how old you are, it's the way you act and drive. I see some adults acting AND driving like idiotic 8 year olds while racing online, so age doesn't always matter.
And welcome to :gtplanet: by the way. ^^

Indeed - and it's not our rule, rather Federal law.

COPPA.

I've never been asked my age, nor have anybody kicked me for my age. Just type with proper grammar, and people won't mistaken you for a 12 year old! :)

i mean, kidz lik to type lik dis all da time, but not mature ppl. ;)
