COPPA.

I've never been asked my age, nor have anybody kicked me for my age. Just type with proper grammar, and people won't mistaken you for a 12 year old! :)

i mean, kidz lik to type lik dis all da time, but not mature ppl. ;)

You know, I always use proper grammar and apologize for hitting people and race clean yet if I say my age sometimes I get kicked anyway.

I can say with absolute certainty that I've never been in an room online where users are asked their age as they enter a room. Usually, the question comes up after bad driving or if the user openly interacts on the mic. Perhaps it's the types of rooms that you're choosing to enter? I always start out by choosing rooms that have srf disabled, see if that works for you.

I get kicked sometimes because of my age.

how do people know how old you are?

Do ya use a mic? Go to rooms with microphone disabled.
Then you get to focus on racing instead of talking to people, and if something needs to said it can be typed.

It's a racing game, not a telephone.

+1 👍

You're also a teenager? Awesome. I'm a year older than you and I guess we can have some races every now and then.

I've never encountered people asking how old am I but yeah it's best not to give away your personal information at all costs.

Ok, for 1 seems I always end up in rooms with that question 2. Like I said I rarely use my mic ( 3 was taken out, said it wrong) I'm 13 big freaking deal, I race clean, apologize if I wreck someone, dont bitch like some people, I respect everyone. I'd care less if GTP bans me, what's that gonna freaking do? All it will do is pee me off because, on Facebook you have to be 13 to post anything and there is many young kids that post things on it. I was asking a simple question. Anyway, I can't figure out why people kick teens from rooms when yet I've been in rooms where people are smoking pot and selling drugs. So thanks to the people who don't care and to the people that do care.... Well, who cares

Number 3 on your list, read that again and maybe that'll explain why you keep getting kicked.. We're all being friendly so I don't know what you're on about.

Fair point.

And ironically he said I don't 🤬 and then.. Well you already know.. :dopey:

Im 16 and i get kicked, yet i rarely use assist and don't crash people or ram or get in the way of a clean overtake, the second i tell them my age i get kicked, i even added a few adult guys and they deleted me when they found out i wasn't 30, people just have that biased that we all drive like a " noob" yet allot of us have solid driving lines, ask any body who has raced on SSR5 and they will tell you im scary fast because i have played it ever since i was five , i could drive it blindfolded to be honest.

Cool, I like that track. Can't find anyone that can keep a steady line. Maybe race sometime?

Ok, I'm going to put this in simpler terms so I don't say stuff the wrong way... I'm mad because people keep kicking me for my age when I'm a legit racer and race clean. I was wondering what your guys think about kids on GT5. There is that better lol.

Much better;)

Not trying to start a fire, but wow some of you guys are young. I imagined most people that frequented this site were 20+. I turn 35 this month, (I guess I'm old) Kids playing GT5 doesn't surprise me one bit, it is a game. It does surprise me to see much younger folks on GTP though.

I have no issues with racing clean teenage drivers, but I would never befriend one. Reason?
Simple. I had a 14 year old on my friends list. He asked me how old I was one day racing. I told him the truth, he told his mom. Mom abruptly gets on his microphone and starts calling me a pervert, etc.
I abruptly deleted him. All (5) of my friends now are age verified over 21, as they all live locally, and I know them personally. In todays world, it is just not worth the drama.

Blame your peers, not the adults who kick you. It's the people your own age's fault for doing stupid things like driving backwards, crashing into folk and other idiotic things that give all you young ones that stereotype. For every one kid like yourself who want to race properly there's 3 who don't so the easy way is to boot the youngsters before the racing starts so the chances of the race being ruined is reduced dramatically. You're quite simply mad at the wrong people.

Also, if you're finding yourself being kicked a lot then why are you still telling people your real age? Shouldn't you have learned something long before now, like not telling people what age you are? That's the simplest solution to a very simple problem.

I've run racing series for months now. I've had a couple regulars that were 14-18. As long as they are clean, we don't care. I will say that the youngest one we had did have moments where he betrayed his age in very immature acts (picked the wrong tires at Suzuka in the rain, and drove the wrong way down the straight to the pit entrance). But we don't hold those incidents up as the template for everyone underage.

I will say as a father that I think your parents should be more involved. "Oh, its just a video game." It is a video game in a bar. We don't censor ourselves. We talk frankly about whatever we want to.

Wow, why would she call you a pervert for being friends with him over PS3?

I gotta say that's pretty damn hilarious.

This is why I wouldn't either. That would be a very embarrassing situation. With the way people are programmed to think nowadays, this is exactly what most parents would think. Not that a 14 year old should be friends with a random 20+ year old anyways, but the only reason I add people on GT is cause I know they race clean and I've probably run a few adrenaline filled races with them. Come to think of it, I don't know the age of anyone I have on my friends list. Pretty sure they are all older though, I don't add many people anyways.
