Killzone 3

Bringing this thread back to life for a bit of news. The multiplayer component of KZ3 is going F2P (with some limitations) 👍

Next Tuesday, February 28, Sony will be giving away the multiplayer side of Killzone 3 away for free via its PlayStation Network. Any PlayStation 3 owner with an internet connection and a PSN account will be able to sample Killzone 3 multiplayer across all of its maps, free-to-play style… up to a certain level cap.

According to the latest episode of the PlayStation Blogcast, in an effort to "keep that multiplayer mode out there and active," Sony and Guerrilla Games will release the standalone Killzone 3 multiplayer mode with all of its maps for free.

That means no single-player campaign.

*The free-to-play multiplayer mode for Killzone 3 comes with a limitation however, an unidentified level cap. There will be some sort of limitation on what rank players can achieve in free-to-play mode and a limit on the number of skills and unlockable weapons that come with those higher rankings.

The full, level-uncapped version of Killzone 3 multiplayer will cost $14.99 USD. We've reached out to Sony for additional details on this intriguing experiment.

I rented this when it first came out a long time ago and played through it several times. One of my favorite PS3 games. Lately I have been into 3d games and movies. So I picked this up for $19.99 and cant wait to play through in 3d!!

It looks good in 3D too, I tried some at a friends house. 👍
 
I'm about half way through my elite campaign not as hard as I thought it would be. This is still one of my favorite fps games.

The final battle will be a lot worst, wait until you reach the nuke scene hahahah

It's easier than Killzone 2 for sure. But it's ok, elite difficulty is just right. It's challenging but not overly frustrating. Harder than that and it becomes Killzone 2 hard. And there's no point to get that angry and frustrated again I think, and I only ever cleared Veteran at KZ2.

Last shootout was frustrating the first elite playthrough and I died alot there but the second time around I had an eye for things and I got through it pretty fast.

I think it's one of the best looking games on PS3 too and the environments are perfect.
 
I just finished the playthrough today, that last ship battle was brutal.

What was the name of the planet that was nuked at the end of the game?
 
I already played through this game twice in 2d. Finally had a chance to start a playthrough in 3d and WOW!!!! I only played the first couple levels and its one of THE best looking games I have seen in 3d. The only other game comparable in 3d is Gears Of War 3 on the 360 in 3d. Cant wait to make my way through the rest of the game in 3d. The intro level was mind blowing amazing in 3d. :drool:
