I know there's a lot of people upset with the lack of variety of cars in this game, but my issues stem from the American side of things.

I can't believe these cars have been left out of the game...

-Cadillac CTS-V
-Pontiac G8 GXP
-Buick Regal GS concept
-Dodge Charger SRT 8
-Ford Taurus SHO (2010 version)
-Ford Fusion Sport
-'11 Mustang GT 5.0

There's more on my list that escape me right now, but I was disappointed to find the lack of those cars in the game.

(and yes, I know, first post, and yes I know there's topics about the car list but I haven't seen much of an outcry for American cars)

Why would anyone want those? :yuck:

But PD is a Japanese developer with easier connections, I would presume, to Japanese manufacturers.

Dont forget:

Chevy Cobalt SS S/C
Chevy Cobalt SS T/C (fastest FF around the 'Ring)
Saturn Ion Redline
Saturn Sky Redline
Pontiac Soltice GXP

I'm North American, but I think the lack of European cars is a lot more of a problem.

American cars just aren't sporty at all. So besides your list of not particularly insteresting cars, there wouldn't be much more to add.

Don't forget the following:
- 300C SRT8
- Caliber SRT4
- Ram SRT10
- Crossfire SRT4
- Grand Cherokee SRT8
- ION Redline
- Sky Redline
- Cobalt SS
The list goes on and on....

Americans really got the shaft. All the premium American cars are muscle cars and sports cars. No lower end ones....

Do you think the world revolves around America?

The Koreans could scream about not having cars, along with a whole bunch of other nations... Just be happy with what you get

The CTS-V and the G8 (or better yet the Holden version) would make me very happy.

Blasphemy.

SO many good American cars, many listed in this thread alone. Not sporty at all? Not particularly interesting? Why, cause they can't be compared to a Lamborghini or Ferrari? What's your definition of "sporty"?

I would like to add to the list:

- All the 2.2L Turbo Dodges from the 80's (GLHS, etc)
- Early 90's 5.0L Mustangs
- So many late 60's, early 70's muscle cars still missing. (Dart, Cougar, etc)

+1

Most American cars are rubbish in turns anyway. The only thing I would actually like is a CTS-V.

Explain why the new 5.0L Mustang is faster around a track than the new M3? What kind of American cars have you been driving your whole life? Ford Festiva?

+2 I think they just need to convert all the supercars and fast race cars into premum models. Ruf, TVR Speed 12, Toyota Minolta, Bentley Race car.. things like that.

I was enormously disappointed that there were no 2011 Mustangs. I'd like to see the new Shelby GT-350 and the GT-500 preferrably with the Super Snake package (800HP baby!).

Finally the 2011 BOSS 302 would make a GREAT RM-able car:

2011 Mustangs are selling like hotcakes in the US so they should really be in the game IMHO. Much more so than the Challenger and Camaro which ARE in the game in their latest form.

Oh well...

Some of you guys really seem have a tough time admitting you can't be best at everything. Yes we know you're big and strong and your nukes are plentiful, but when it comes to cars the US begins to struggle.

As much as I love European cars, Europeans treat our cars like unmentionable words, having probably driven nothing more exciting than an old Corsa.

Drive one, and then talk.

It's funny someone mentions they want some more American cars in the game and then all the sudden it's a pissing contest. WTH guys...

You think people coming in here spouting off words that are NOT true isn't going to start a pissing contest? Most of them are Europeans who haven't even driven an American car.

CTS-V should be in so it could race the M5, but the Ford Taurus SHO? There is no Audi R8, or comparable European car. And Pontiac is out of business for a reason, and someone really wants a Buick?

America is well represented with trucks and sports cars in my opinion.

i'd love to see the 2011 Shelby GT500 in the game. 550hp at some 50K USD and limited to 5000 total, it's just ridiculous.

rubbish on turns or not, these cars deserve to be in the game.

it burns my chaps that Ford would put 550 hp to the rear wheel(Shelby GT500) and use live rear axle but still...

these are enthusiast's cars and represents modern day pony cars.

Doesn't need to compete with something to be in the game. :)

What I don't understand it, if all the slow Kei-cars can be in Gran Turismo, why not some of the cars that we want?

Live axle doesn't mean squat anymore really. Ford has it well figured out.

America seem to have a good showing of cars in this game compared to other nations apart from japan( far to many cars of the same model but different specs, please less of this bs and give us a more even spread of cars.). Many cars missing from this game that should be in it and sorry but American muscle cars are far from the top of the list of cars that are missing and should be in the game.

I want to see some real bentlys not just prototype race car versions. I also wish for more mustangs. They should have added the GT500 K.R. mustang and some saleens and roushes or at the very least, Had the Cobra R as premium and modeled the tail lights right....

A8, my bad. And do you think that is comparable to a CTS-v? Is a 2 door sport coupe close to a sedan grocery getter? Also, taking what I wrote out of context really shows you didn't read thoroughly, try and do that, thanks.
