They're not that hard to make. In fact, I've ridden in one. The suspension and drivetrain from an older Porsche 911 are relatively easy swaps if you can do a little fabrication work. A guy I used to know restored Porsches and his parts chaser was a VW Microbus with a 911 Turbo drivetrain. That thing was very fast and it was fun to sail up behind BMWs and the like and flash the highbeams for them to yield the fast lane to you.

nice my uncle had a vw bus he put an alfa romeo engine in speakin of hot buses check this one out i saw in a mag

wow nice Vdub lol a lowerd microbus, and the lotus must have let him pass cuz the moment he saw the microbus, his logic prolly brokedown and his eyez glazed-over and the white CRX would be really pissed spending all that money on his "POS-class" car and getting beaten like that
