Name says it all. Bada$$ car to good!
I raced at Festa Italiano against 300 to 350BHP Alfa's. Ihad 186BHP.
I still whooped their a$$es!

:nervous:

damn thats impressive even though i've done this also but good job :sly:

I like the Stratos too. Keeping it bone stock right now, just done the Beginners MR races. It won, but tough (for me) especially when there was an NSX or two in the line-up. If they did turn up, the A-spec points rose nicely.

Might buy another and max it out, be interesting to see what it can do.

Its a pretty car the Lancia Stratos

you reckon? i think that the lancia badge makes the car ugly..lol. Delta. *ack*.. stratos..............*splat*<-- profuse vomiting....lol..sorry duke, famine and other mod's, ill clean that up later.

dude, stop bumming your hondas :P :P

i always liked the stratos, it was my fave car in Sega Rally :)

To speak, or not to speak, that is the question...

I probably will, but I always have this feeling I should just be silent, then again not like this is a debate or anything... I think... so I'll just say what I have in mind to say.

The Lancia Stratos is a very good car, it's a suprising car, it's a car I drove a lot in Sega Rally 1 and 2, it's one of my all time favorite Lancias, aside from the Delta S4 and 037 Rally (I wish it was in GT4, if so I have yet to see it...if it ain't, then I hope it will be in GT5), it's a good car, the Stratos. It takes some work to handle stock on N type tires but possible.

What's ugly and beautiful is always subjective, I'll admit the Stratos is not the best looking of cars but it's at time more about what's under the shell than what it looks like. It's a car you can make into an able racer, time and patience is the only real way really to work with it.

As for Sega rally, I know from the start it's not really mean to be a sim, both no 1 and 2 (didn't they announce a 2005 version too?), but I enjoyed them regardless, infact I have Sega Rally 2 still, for the PC, good game, addictve to an extent, can be fustrating at times, but you can win all the races if you try your hardest, I suggest trying the Lancia Stratos, or the Impreza WRC 99 model, and heck, it was one of those games that got some idea of the excitement of rally (note, some idea), aside from other games like Rally Cross 1 and 2.

I think I'll just stop it at that.

Till later.

^w00t another sega rally nut. i have to admit i hated the lancia delta in SR1, but now its one of those cars i love dearly :D

The Stratos is quite a weird car. half the time it does exactly what you'd expect, and then it suddenly decides to do somethinh completely different. It's great fun to drive exactly for that reason, but I found it to be a bit too unstable to try, for example, the 24h of the nurburgring.

Well, Polyphony Digital got it RIGHT then, eh? Phil Hill (the First US World Champion) drove one for I believe ROAD & TRACK Magazine many years ago and declared "The only time it handles properly is when it's Crossed Up!" or something to that effect. AND that's EXACTLY how it was designed to behave. High speeds at the 'Ring probably are NOT it's forte...but carving up the hillsides at Costa di Amalfi is "Heaven."
It's one of only two true "Exotic" cars I've ever had the pleasure of driving in R/L & MY 2 cents worth says PD has done a great job as well! 👍 ...O.G. :D

sorry duke, famine and other mod's

I'm not a moderator.

Actually, neither is Duke - he's an administrator - but I'm not staff in any way.

well.

i retract my statement :P, ill leave the mess to rot for a while until someone decides to complain. Possibly the nieghbours. :sly: lol

Plus the Stratos has that awesome V6 from the Ferrari Dino.....YUMMY.

Been a fan of the Stratos since I won it. Fully modded, I beat all the Hard races in Special Conditions hall except for the Tuskuba Wet. Amazing lil car considering its half the size of a RS200, which is tiny to begin with!

Yes. Very, very beautiful car. Haven't driven it yet though. Looks nice in the show room.

Where do you win the rally version?

👍 SPECIAL CONDITION HALL (HARD): "Chamoni" 👍...O.G. :D

a fully tuned stratos, with a spoiler from GT auto with downforce set at
front 25
rear 30
goes around the 'ring quite nicely :D

Yeah, but that takes away some of it's character (not too mention kills it's chiseled, albeit controversial, shape). Salvate whiny people. Here is the Ferrari that you have been whining for (technically). I just wish the rally car didn't have more lights than a rock concert and that the road car didn't cost around $180,000. Of course, you could do far worse with a large pot of money *cough* *cough* R390 GT1 Race Car *cough* *cough*. :)

Well, I have a CHALLENGE for you fellow Stratos admirers.

I've been working on finding the right 200p stock car for Nurb 4h (for too damn long now...)
Anyway, wouldn't ya know, so far the Stratos seems to be the closest.

Offered 191p against a Focus RS, GTO 5.7, Camaro SS, Audi RS 4 and Lanica HF
Find a lineup without the Garaiya, the Speedster T, the Elise and the NSXes and I"m confident that it can win. Not so sure I'm willing to do it because, as much as I like the Stratos, 4h on the Nurb may be too much for my nerves. Twitchy :nervous:

So, if anyone wants a challenge for their Statos...
Take in into Nurb 4h BONE STOCK! :D
