I cannot comment on the Enzo or F40, been so long. All I know is I ran those stock. The other cars were ran today. The SLS understeers badly, but sounds ok , although it has a tendency to stick its rump out. The LFA is just great, easy to drive, accelerates through the entire RPM band without stuttering, sounds like nothing else, and just handles nice and neutral with little understeer. The Handling surprised me, and that combined with a great powerband meant a startling lap time for its PP. The Ford GT sounds great, and is surprising docile, with good brakes, responsive steering and good grip through corners; it's a supremely easy drive. The 458 is definitely faster, has a good sound( not as good as LFA IMO ), along with high cornering speeds , although more tail happy and less forgiving than the LFA, it's a very busy car. The big Lambo was found faster for me, but it required the most work out of all the cars to keep in line. Great power, but it's like having a giant turbo; barely any movement in low rpms, but start getting near the redline and it starts flying. This makes exiting corners on the redline getting ready to shift hard as all that power going through while turning makes it step out, and often will end up backwards. A tendency to understeer aswell. However, get everything right and it had the highest corner speeds of all the others, and kept pulling in the straights, leaving no room for a longer lap time. Ride it on the edge of grip, and it'll fly through corners tires squealing, smoke pouring out, but in line. The powerband is a large part of what makes it hard to drive. Arguably, the LFA was the most enjoyable drive, next to the Ford GT. I'll be happy to hear your thoughts on these cars ( stock), and will gladly test a car on Laguna Seca for you if I have it .

Might have to give this a try since Laguna is one of my favorite tracks. Are you doing this online or offline. I ask because times will be different between doing it online and offline. I forget which, but I believe offline results in faster lap times. Could be the other way around, not sure.

Also, did you do an oil change first or just run them straight from the dealer? I also don't use Traction Control, only ABS1

This was done offline. Running in seasonals and online where I have tunes, I turn TCS off. but these are stock cars with TCS IRL. I ran the F40 without ABS or TCS in the name of reality though, wild ride but rewarding. No oil change, I bought each car and ran to the track. I'd like to see what kind of times you run :D . I believe offline is faster....not sure myself either though.

Took the SLS AMG '10 out for a very short 5 min. run and came in with a time of 1'34.950. Very scruffy but legal lap leaving a lot of room for improvement.

Surprising lap time, what's your setup? completely stock the SLS AMG understeered badly. Perhaps I didn't push it very hard, getting used to the feel of the SLS was a bit annoying, as this was the first time using it. I'm going to have to go back out and try the SLS again.

I did learn that the Ferrari 458 Italia did a 1:36.2 at Laguna Seca in real life, which is slightly faster than my time. The LFA pulled a 1:36.4, so I'll have to run these cars again and find the time difference.

I ran it completely stock, as per your instructions. Ran it exactly the way you said to. To get rid of the understeer on corner entry, I downshifted a gear lower than needed in order to get the car to rotate. To be honest, I didn't find it to be that bad of a car on this track.

I'll take out the Lexus next.

This sounds fun and seeing as I have nothing productive to do today, I'm going to give it a shot too.

Be back with times :) Not going to use TCS though, I hate TCS

Ah, never thought to downshift to get it to rotate :/ noobieness. I can run without TCS, but I was lazy and didn't feel like doing a full on track attack. I'll be back with times w/ TCS off.

Sorry I had a feeling it did but my app glitched out. 1:37.782 on first run in the LFA

My G27 is busted so it's not very pleasant :(

I just did 1:35.531 in the sls in two laps.very strong power but need to be careful with the throttle because the back will slip

No offense, but your times are slow and do not show an accurate representation of their relative speed.

I just did three laps with a brand new LFA. No oil, ABS 1, no other aids.

1:34.787 on my 3rd hot lap. There is another second out there easy too.

Considering that I just got back on GT5 2 days ago, after a year long hiatus from it, I'd say its reasonable. I'm not going to be anywhere near 'fast' immediately. This was also done mainly to test cars for joy drives. My laps are sloppy if you watch the replays, so I'm not offended by that. Maybe after time I'll get better again, but going to back to GT5 after a lot of 'arcade' games is a process.

Definitely not bad times for being so rusty.

Just remember that cars like the LFA and SLS are more touring cars than race cars, so with those two in particular its important to shed your speed early and in a straight line, then try to get full throttle early. Wheelspin is your enemy so get that car pointed straight asap to take full advantage of the motor.

Also, turn tcs off; youll be way faster.

I'm still a few seconds slower when I don't use ABS. Hopefully soon I can run as fast with no aids as with ABS 1 just need more practice

Edit: also good advice above
