Lap times in Tsukuba Circuit

I will post more times later, but after a few days with GT4P and the Driving Force Pro I managed a 1.06.394 with the EV0 8 GSR. BTW, what a stunning wheel. So natural to use :)

The NUR I'm still trying to master. So far I've managed times in the 1.08 range, with little practice.

It's what i'm doing right now ;) with the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nur (R34)

Best motoring time: 1,06,00
My time: 1,03,465

i don't know why there's so much diference...
I used MT, no TCS and normal tyres

Normal tyres are like slicks, they have good grip. Try "road" or "street" tyres (don't remember exact name), the lap time should be +- 0.5 sec !! I tried it with bunch of cars and compared lap times, difference is from 0.1 to 0.6 sec ! This is cooool :) And for the same cars, top speed on the back straight is +- 1km/h difference ! :)) (s2000 , nsx , evo)

Road tyres: = Simulaton tyres as close to real world, very slippery
Sport tyres: = Grooved racing tyres, good grip but can break traction
Normal tyres: = Arcade tyres, maximum grip no real world comparison.
Racing Tyres: = Slick racing tyres/ dirt rally tyres.

Where did you get this information from? Is it an "official" description by PD?

no,
just experience while playing the game.
this is a method that surely helps to find out how things work in the game.;)

👍

Just my coclusions from Prologue experience, and from my limited real world track driving.
OK thanks, I like these definitions. I'm going to use road and sport tyres from now on, finished with "normal" tyres :)

Nobody else fing the Skyline NUR a pig to drive quickly. I've managed a 1.07.XXX, but thats as quick as I've been so far.

On the other hand I can manage 1.06.XXX lap after lap in the Lancer EVO 8 GSR, which in my opinion is a far better car all round.

Whats the quickest time you've set with the Subaru?

Well R34 is indeed heavy (compared with EVO8) and Tsukuba is slow-corners track. Those low speed hairpins make Nissan go slower.

Actually i find the Nur quite easy to drive compared to the Evo 8 gsr.
just have to be a little gentle with it, where as i cant really get to grips with the 8, feels like its a all over the place however i can still post reasonably fast times with it even though i dont feel ive managed a good lap where im completly in contol.

The R34 GTR Nur seems to be too twitchy around the corners because of its weight and power, its great at speed but tough to balance, thats why I got a sluggish time.

As for the EVO8, the feels very swift around the croners, has anyone tried the EVO 8 MR Version? Is it quicker? 💡

1.06.394 EVO 8 GSR

1.07.004 NUR

I could see someone getting a 1.06.XXX with the NUR but a 1.05.XXX would be staggering.

Anybody mangaged it?

Jaguar, if you look at the last post of page 2 you see this:

my time at Tsukuba :

Skyline vspec nur, all off, road tyres, MT
1:05:963

It was almost a perfect lap for me.
The last 2 corners and 1st corner are very tricky for a good lap time.

Your times with the NUR and evo8 are almost the opposite of mine.
I preffer the NUR like oversteering more than understeer.

Hi guys .. I'm new here I thought I would post my lap time on Tsukuba circuit ... my best is 52.361 in my Hachi-Roku ( Toyota Tureno Sprinter '83) and my best time is 44.484 in my Toyota GT-One LeMans car...
