So Im willing to bet that most people on the forums have already planned the big day in November (AGAIN!) so I decided to breathe life into this thread (AGAIN!). Since retail versions of the game are turning up in the wild Im going to assume that the new date is going to stick.

Im going to head to the shop and hour or so before launch and hang out with any other GT fans who decided to wait around. When I get the game I will head home as fast as my feet can carry me and enjoy a 2 day vacation (that I had to rebook). I will have a stockpile of coffee, beer, smoke, smokes and simple foods like bread, ham, cheese and soup. I will probably lurk in the GTP chat just to swap lobby info with others.

I think I will play for at least 24 hours before crashing out and getting some zzzzs.

So tell me GTP, what are your plans for the 24th/25th?

BTW please dont tell me what you are going to do first in the game, just tell me what you are going to do up till the point you put the game in your PS3.

Well, as I'm in the UK, I won't get it until the 5th. However, first thing I'll be doing Friday morning is eagerly waiting for the old postman to come knocking on the door. When I get the game, I'll probably spend all day Friday, all day Saturday and all day Sunday playing it :)
 
I'm going to take some free days at work and go for a midnight lunch:tup:
 
Midnight release and install it to the HDD over night. Wake up and smash it all day only stopping for necessities like food, fap etc.
 
I'm going to camp outside a games shop for 4 days masturbating continuously. I will then go home in time for the postman to deliver my copy.
 
My day will start by eagerly awaiting my postman and if he doesn't have GT5 I shall give him a damn good kicking. As i've ordered online there is a 75% chance that the game will arrive on the 4th rather than the 5th.

When I do play GT5, for the first session im going to explore all the features rather than concentrating on one thing. Im eager to test what options I have as the host.

For the first few days I will definitively play GT5 virtually non stop and the only reason I will take breaks is so my PS3 doesn't over heat.

The 3th of nov (in italy) will be a great day... I can stay off work becouse I?m the manager, but I've got all night free so since 8pm to 8am I'll be out of service, with Pizza, Beer and coffe... a New year Day 2 mounth before
 
Here in Spain the released date is 3-4 November, but I believe some small shops will get the game before, so my mission on Nov. 2nd (Nov.1st is holiday) is to try to locate which store will have it first. I already warn my boss, which happens to be my father, that I need 2 days off for personal reasons, I will lock myself inside my home, disconnect cell phone and regular phone and I will play until my eyes bleed, just stop for food that I will order to the pizza deliverer, chinese deliverer,......
 
November 4th (Aussie release date) is a public holiday in the town where I live so that means (if GAME is open of course) that I will be playing GT5 all day, stopping only for neccessary food and toilet breaks.

This is what I am planning to do on November 4th.
1. Get to shopping centre about 15/30 minutes early (if Mum agrees to be woken up that early on a public holiday)
2. Wait outside GAME until it opens
3. Go to counter, ask for the pre-order that is in my name and pay.
4. Walk back to car
5. Gently stroke case like an evil dictator in a movie strokes a persian cat
6. Look at back of case
7. Wipe drool off back of the case
8. Read booklet and look at the collectible "art cards"
9. When home, put the GT5 blu-ray disc straight into PS3.
10. Press "X" on the yes option when it says "Do you want to install to hdd"
11. Read as much of the "Apex" book as I can when GT5 is installing (but not the car list - I want to look through all the dealers for the new cars as I have done with every other GT).
12. Watch opening movie.
13. Get ready for the Drive of my Life in the Real Driving Simulator, Gran Turismo 5.
 
I'll be like i'm having an orgasm. Then I'll go to school. Sadly football doesn't end till 6:30. So after that, my bro will pick me up from school and go to EB games.
 
I'll be at work too, so I'll have to pick it up afterwards if i can get to eb before it shuts!
 
I'm at sixth form and two lessons on friday one at 9 and one at 12 so I will play GT5 between 10 and 12 then from 1 all the way untill night time.

I'm going to practice driving one-handed as I'll no doubt be palming a few off during the opening sequence of the game plus my first lap of the Nurburgring at night, in the rain.
 
1. Drive my girlfriend to work.
2. Race to gameshop where I've already booked my copy of GT5.
3. Try not to kill myself driving home.
4. While installing make coffee and eat something.
5. Browse all menus, options and features I can find, and then some.
6. Call my girl that she will have to get back home by bus
7. Call again to beg her for buying something for dinner

Thank god that I'm freelancer and I can reject all projects for week.. or two ;)

turn on PS3

Install GT

play it till Sunday 7th midnight... pretty much non stop...

toilet runs , food , ciggy breaks will be the only things that tear me away.

wife kows she will be a GT widow for a good few months after...

just want it to hurry the hell up and get released !!!
 
Hopefully, I won't have to work on Nov. 2nd. If not, I'll be at the mall 10AM sharp to get GT5. :D
 
I work on Monday and get off at 7PM. I'll come home and hang out on here and watch the carnage, because some random member will get a copy early but everyone will want proof. At about 11PM I'll drive down the road to Gamestop. Once I get my copy I will drive perfectly home as to avoid any accidents or popo's.

Once home, I have 3 vacation days left which are strategically placed on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I will play my butt off (while getting paid :)) and stumble in on Friday from 10AM-7PM and then go home and play all weekend.

Man I cannot wait for this game and I'm 27 years old. :lol:
 
School trip from 25 oct to 3 Nov.
Then it's holidays for the rest of the year.
I can already imagine clocking up to 50 hours of gameplay on my first week.:)
