Launch day plans

As i live in Belgium , and my collector's edition comes from amazon.uk , I will probably get it on the 4th or 5ht :nervous:
Anyways , i plan to take the next week off . You guys 'n girls all know why ! lol .

Reading this thread makes me think some of us could really see sceneries like in the movie : " I am legend " or " 28 days later " . :scared:

Well I've got two whole weeks booked off, a bit of a risk as I booked it off before we knew the final release, I'm off from the 31st of October and will be back to work 15th, I have already got my new TV up and running along with a new PS3 too. The build up will be mostly playing Prologue as a practice. Then lauch day the 5th I will be extrealy early and waiting for the postman to drop off my copy of the game, I have two on order, one for me and one for the old man.

From once arrived I will be playing it from getting up till my partner arrives from work at 7:30 then depending on what happens once she is home I maybe playing till late in the evening. All up until I go back to work.
 
Im working on the 5th and then got a stag do all weekend! wont be in a fit state till about a week after release
 
I preordered my SE from game so there is a very real chance it could arrive on the 4th. So, that day I will be up very early. Might go for a quick walk to pass the time and then I will be waiting for the postie. Once it arrives and I have it in my hands, straight up to my room, baracade accross the door, and noone will see me for a few days
 
Not trying to get in trouble with the moderators.....but I was taught that honesty is the best policy : ) I'm going to get an ounce of the best green when GT5 is released....in my opinion nothing goes better with GT games than alot of green.......maybe a couple of beers.....but i feel alcohol affects my success in the game. I'm in a legal medical @#$#@$$$#@$ state so i can say that.......as a matter of fact I feel my glacoma acting up right now!!!
 
Hopefully midnight release here in SoCal, HDD install, Calibrate the G27, Sleep, wake up at 8 AM like I usually do, go to school for 2 hrs, workout, read, PLAY MORE! Drink of choice, 12 FlOz of H2O with 2 scoops of NO Xplode, o my god. Food of choice something filling and healthy, like some chicken breast haha. Playing GT5 while still managing school and working out and being healthy at the same time. OPTIMUM RESULTS! O yeah, gonna have a shot of Barcardi Gold just to celebrate!

I will be in a month long training course, 1,300 miles away from home in the middle of nowhere Texas calling my wife to make sure she picked up my pre-ordered copy for me. I won't be able to play it until I come back home a week or so later.
 
I have uni, on the friday, only an hour but strongly considering not going. Might not bother going on thursday either if I get it a day early.

Now those are some reasonable plans. I'm planning on cracking open a bottle of champagne after my first victory on the track! I am also turning off my cellphone to avoid unwanted calls. My Life for a day will be GT5.
 
One entire week of vacation just for Gt5, might have to look into that bucket program mentioned earlier! Will stock up on racing food ahead of time, including kozy shack rice pudding and diet cherry pepsi!
 
I'm hoping to get home and find it by the door delivered by the UPS prince of packages himself, on November 2nd. I'll run inside open up the package and begin the install. While that happens, I will read the Apex magazine and then make car noises as I race around the living room with the GT-R model. Once the game has been installed I will sit myself in front of the TV where I will spend the next 48 - 72 hours depending on the onset of atrophy. Work and school be damned. The wait is over and I plan on gorging on GT5.

well mine will get here the 5th of nov...so that's 3 days of youtube videos until then...but when the 5th comes i'll lock myself in the lounge and start up the amazing beast that is gt5!

I still think that sucks, personally, I feel it should launch globally on the same day. I mean we all need to love it together the same day. Also, neglect our lives and systematically shut down the world for a day.
 
Well, right now my schedule is to go to class on Tuesday, so pretty much minimum playing time will occur on the 2nd. However, I'm gonna take off work on Wednesday and probably play from 10 in the morning until 11 at night.


What may hinder my plans is the fact that I might be having a surgery the week before it comes out on Tuesday, so I don't know how that will affect whatever is to come the first week of November.

I got the day off about three weeks ago. I plan on waking up early and heading to Gamestop when then open. Then do nothing but play it the rest of the day.
 
Fortunately i live in NY, so there is no shortage of mom and pop shops that break the street date!

Seems ill be spending a couple days playing GT5 before most people i the world...

on nov. 2nd i will be in school... but lucky for me nov. is my annual get the flu month...which means if i'm lucky enough to unluckily get the flu, i will be at home playing gt5 while feeling like 🤬... the happiest 🤬 on earth!!!!

Only if they get it a couple days before hand. You never know, they could get it the day before...late...after closing. You have to remember that this is GT5, so, you know Kaz will be working on it until the last minute. And then it has to be mass produced and everything. I've noticed that a lot of games don't get shipped to the retailers until the release date or the day before.
 
I cant even think about the release date. I know its only until Nov 2 but the wait is killing me. im actually getting F1 2010 tomorrow not only to pass the time but because I do love Codemasters games. GRID and DIRT are just amazing. I will have F1 2010 to ease my wait during teh month of Oct. :)

My original plan was to commit a particular error at work, because they send you home for 3 days if it happens. However I discovered recently that since I have a perfect record, they will only write me up.
