So I am going to do the Le Mans 24H and I was wondering what car would be challenging to drive. I do not want to use the X1 since it is too fast. I want somethin close to the compotents so it would actuely be a challenge.

The 24h race on Le Sarthe or Nurburgring? I'd say just use a prototype car. One that's not so good like one of the slower Pescarolos.

Le mans is the sarthe one not nurburg ring. And what prototype cars? I want a cockpit view. I want it to be challenging but not too much so i can still win

Then the R10 it is. Remember, there's a Power Limiter and Ballas Amounts. That could help make it challenging.

R10 from the dealership, with how much ballset, where, and how much power limit?

EDIT:
Remember i want it challenging yet ansure a win

He wants cockpit view though.

Also on the Ballast and Power Limiter thing. That's up to you. I suggest giving yourself a 50 kg weight bonus and decrease your power to 60% to 80%.

Thanks guys. Think im gonna buy the r10. Is it a good handling car? 787b, 908 fap maybe? Whats rhe best (i like fast cornering speeds)

1st. Peugeot 908 HDI
2nd. Mazda 787B
3rd. Audi R10 TDI

I have all three and the 908 is the fastest one. The 787B is good too but the R10 is behind both of them.

EDIT: Remember the R10 was made is 2006 so it's 2 versions old it's not suprising that it's slower then the current 908 if the R18 was in the game it would be a different story. It goes R10, R15, R18 and the 908 is the current 2010 model.

You don't want to make it too close because you have to factor in the pit-stops - over 1 minute. Night time driving which lasts from hour 5 to hour 13. And last but not least rain.

Good luck! I'm 13 and 1/2 hours in and it is awesome - sun is just coming up!

Pit stops: You can get all 4 tires done by the time 15 liters of fuel are added.
I never fill to the max. The most you should ever have to add is 50 liters.

^ Agreed...Why not add some fuel as well when the tires are being changed...Nobody gets a free ride in my pit crew!...💡 :)

Eight hours of night??

It's more like 6 absolute max in real life (11-5).

Use the 787B or the 908. Do a few test laps. If you find you're too fast tune it down. And remember you will be slower at night, but the AI will be the same speed.

And the only thing you can change during the race is your tires, so start out on race hards and if you get in trouble you can switch to mediums or softs to catch up. Even though most of us want a challenging race we don't want to drive 24 hours (probably at least 2 days in real time) only to not win. So if you start on race soft you have nothing more you can do if you fall behind.

Just be sure you buy the soft tires, cause if you don't buy them you can't switch to them.

It was 8 hours from when when it was getting harder to drive to when it got easier.
When you use racing softs in the rain you run out of fuel before you need new tires so it take like 15 seconds to change tires, but by the time you have full fuel again its over 1 minute.
Not so much when its dry - more like 40 seconds
