It doesn't really say anything to my knowledge.. Then again, I'm no expert of the french language

EDIT: after some careful reading I think it says that Le Mans MIGHT be in the game, and there are 3 different possibilities for it...

The text says (spelling mistakes all my fault, I typed in a rush):

Soixante-huit !

My first reaction is that it says that it is a longtime wish of Kazunori, but my French is a bit rusty. Can anybody translate this please ?

Sixty-eight! C’est therefore the number of present circuits in GT4 to which one it will be necessary to add the transfers, the tests tracks and the differentes editions d’un same track. A program of crazy, doncpour a game that continuous d’entretenir his statute d’encyclopédie of l‘automobile. Last Pormiles annoces quote the presence d’un magnificent road track right in the middle of the Park Yosomite (El Capitan) and dune epreuve on freezes manner trophee Andros (l’ice race chases).

The circuited the Sarthe, copy conforms celuil of the 24 hours of the Mans, done egalement an apparition remarquee. Kazunori souhaltait since a long time l’integrer c’est desornnais thing does with, cherry on the gateau, trios editions differentes. L’actuelle the one depourvue of the Scoupant the Hunaudieres and a last one again has determiner. Nevertheless major l’evolution reside unquestionably in l’ajout d’intemperies (rain and snows) During the races. It not s’agire real detemps unfortunately for the conditions n’evolueront not with the passing of the turns. But at least, the amateurs of condulteau to the line at last will be able s’etalonner in the conditions extreme. Signal at last at the time of the races endurance that the succession day harmed will be managed!

.....there you go

68! That's the number of tracks present in GT4, to which we'll have to add reverses, test tracks and different editions of the same track. A crazy program for a game which continues to ride on it's status of Automotive Encyclopedia. Amongst the latest announcements, the presence of a suberb track right in the middle of Yosemite Park (El Capitan) and of an ice rink similar to the ones you'd find in the Andros Trophy.

The Circuit the La Sarthe, aka Le Mans, will also make a remarked apparition. KY has wished for a long time to include it in the game, which is now done, with 3 different editions. The actual one, one without the Hundaudierre chicanes, and another one to be determined. However, the major evolution resides incontestably in the addition of weather (rain and snow). During the races, it won't be real time however, as the conditions won't evolve from lap to lap. But at least, fans of wet racing will be able to race in extreme conditions. Finally, endurance races will benefit from day/night time switching.

There, that's pretty much what that paragraph said. Forget Babelfish's crappy translation, I speak french on a daily basis. I think the article's a whole lot of bull, personally.

It is thus the number of circuits present in GT4, for which it will be necessary to add the reverses, the testtrack and the various editions of the same layout.A program of insane, therefore, for a game which continuous to maintain its statute encyclopaedia of the car.In the last advertisements, let us quote the presence of a road layout right in the middle of the park of Yosemite (El Capitan) and of a test on ice way Trophée Andros(Ice race course). The circuit of the Sarthe, certified copy of that of the 24h of Mans, will also make a noticed appearance.Kazunori for a long time wished to integrate it, it is from now on thing made with, cherry on the cake, three different editions: current, that deprived of the baffles cutting Hunaudieres and a last still to be determined. However the major evolution, lies incontestably in the addition of bad weather (rain and snow) during the races. It will not be about real time unfortunately because the conditions will not evolve/move with the wire of the turns. But at least, the amateurs of control to the chalk line finally will be able to calibrate itself under extreme conditions. Let us announce, finally, at the time of the races of endurance, that the succession day/night will be managed.

Thanks PunkRock !

They must have played a copy of the game as I understand and if it is all true it tells us a couple of things:

a. 68 unique tracks (More than expected since it does not include reverse tracks, test tracks and different versions of the same track)

b. Le Mans is in ! Three editions non the less, great 👍

c. No real time weather effects (wet or dry but never a mix during a race)

d. Daylight effects are in (wonder if it is directly linked to the actual daytime otherwise I will only be playing in the dark :)

Well all in all pretty good news if it is all true

It'd have to be less then 136, because I'm sure some tracks don't offer a reverse, like Laguna Seca or Test Course.

Sorry CobraGT my mistake. 68 is excluding test tracks, reverse and different vesions of the same track.

Not only my French is rusty

If, and it's a big IF, Le Mans was to be included, don't you think it'd suck? You'd have an incredibly great field of.... 6 cars! Much like it'll suck to race against the AI on the 'Ring...

Oh well, I'm not holding my breath.

Might that be the supersecret revelation of GT4 when it will come out? More than 6 cars on track ? Or has PD already confirmed the 6 car limit ?

If so that would be sad, but I would love to go round the Le Mans track no matter how many or few cars on track.

If Le Mans is in , it would be a thrill to me .
Not to beat the AI of 6 cars , but only the immagination of cruisin' over the famous tarmac , and looking at the surroundings convinces me that i'm gonna drool all over the house . :dopey:

Lets hope this info turns out to be truth, not that Im holding my breath but it would be nice if its.

I'm guessing that the third version will be the short Buggatti circuit.

I just hope the AI is fast enough. The AI in gt3 was too damn slow, I raced against 400hp monsters with a 300 hp car and won with ease. the AI doesn't push the cars good enough like the user :(

Now all we need now is ferrari and porsche. If we get those, then we are set!

Pak
+ damage + dynamic track + larger racing grid + online play + hardcore physics :p:p

Everyone wants the game to include everything, I say we need the case to do more. They should have all that good stuff in the game and the case should have a cup holder :D

Hi, This really is great news. The French text says indeed 68 + reverses. Another French review Playstation 2 confirms today this information. I suppose this means all ancient tracks from GT1 and 2 will be back (almost: Superspeedway in fact is the oval of Motegi, but was not called Motegi, perhaps for obscure copyright reasons).

Last week, when I knew GT1 would not be available In Europe before 2005, I had the following idea: I remembered that in a recent article (PSM2) they told Polyphony was studying / modelising the Le Mans track, but was not yet able to include it in GT4 because the rights which had been given for a certain period to another game (te 24h of Le Mans PS2-game). So when I heard "2005" I said to my wife and to my son: "This might be good news: they did it perhaps to be able to include the Le Mans Track."

Other information: the 3th track might be: 1) the Bugatti-circuit or 2) an older 50's or 60's version of Le Mans without the new part of the course (Ford-chicane, etc.)

Let's hope that there will be other surprises: why not Francorchamps (old and new?)

Gt4 will have great physics. OPM UK mentioned the physics being hardcore but that's their opinion. The game will most likely live up to its tagline. Dynamic tracks? I dont understand what you mean by that. The Nurb in gt4 has different surface layers, that should be dynamic for ya. We get online next year :sly:

Nah I mean realtime changes on the tarmac, you know, rubber on the racing line, oil, water and dirt. :D
