I talked about this in a past thread, and I think if Le Mans is included, there would be two options. The first option would be the Bugatti track that MotoGP races and also for that "Le Mans 1000km." The second option would be the full Circuit de la Sarthe with all the high-speed straights and tricky corners (especially Tetre Rouge and Arnage), but without the chicanes. The third... well, you know where I'm getting at- the full Le Mans circuit from start to finish. I think if PD can't get in the full Le Mans circuit, I wouldn't count out the Bugatti circuit. I raced it before in "Le Mans 24 Hours," and I wouldn't mind racing it again in a Gran Turismo.

So let me bring up my old point. Which would you rather race if Le Mans was included in GT4:
(A) The full Le Mans circuit with chicanes
(B) The full Le Mans circuit without chicanes
(C) The Bugatti circuit

Didn't he previsouly, before E3, say that Nürburgring wouldn't make it?

P.S. What did Kaz say abou the F1s in GT3?

i would shoot myself if Nurb wasn't in GT...omg i seriously think i would...and Le Mans would be nice too...those two tracks would keep me occupied for quite some time trying ot memorize them and perfect my driving on them!

Don't freak, the 'Ring ain't going anywhere. That quote was made long before the track was added.

I, too, would be curious what he said about the F1 cars in GT3... just to get an idea of the sort of "sneaky" person he can be with the facts. :)

Iwould'nt trust any publication from france They hate us over there.......

Sorry but the French hate Bush, not the americans. Bush is a silly guy who take decision without agreement of the ONU. He take him for the World Master. After that, he maintain hate for France, in USA.

For Le Mans:
Polyphony take mesure of Le Mans track at the 24h Le Mans 2004.
Two magazine french (one is the official Playstation 2 Magazine) said the same thing: 3 versions of le Mans track.

Sorry for my english!

I can see all three versions John mentioned going in. Naturally courses 2 and 3 wouldn't be too difficult as they're only slight variations of each other. Le Mans Bugatti wouldn't be that hard to put in becuase a significant section of the track - the whole front section - is already in existence for use in versions 2 and 3, so I doubt it would be hard for PD to incorporate it.

And PGO, your English is better than some users who speak that as their first language.

Yes, Bush is a silly man. Now americans have to deal with him for 4 years :scared:

Still speculative really, but things are starting to point to a higher possibility of it being included...

Well some sooner than others, goddamnit.

Should've been a worldwide release, all versions should've been delayed.

one more info about "le mans"

still no photos orvideos but seems to be confirmed 👍

Quote taken from the above mentioned article:
The game's 50 plus tracks range from the dusty desert of the grand canyon, to the neon nights of Hong Kong, the ice racing of Trophée Andros, the famous Nurburgring run,
and even the Le Mans 24 hour legendary track, amongst many, many others.

Once you understand the level of realism Polyphony Digital went to for GT4, you can understand why it was so long coming.

Modeling of the real life circuits was done so precisely, that each point in the game is accurate to within 1.5cm (0.6 of an inch!) of that on the real course. Yikes!

Myself...I'd take this as a REALLY GOOD indication that the Le Man's track(s) will be included...and if correct...than I too would agree with what Izanagi said..which was
'those two tracks would keep me occupied for quite some time trying to memorize them and perfect my driving on them!'
:-)

For sure, if Le Mans is included, it along with the Nurb' is going to provide immeasurable fun.

Once the WRS switches from GT3 to GT4 I hope they're the first two tracks used...

I HOPE they have Le Sarthe version of Le Mans. I have played this track in another game, and wow. All out speed track.

One of its long straightaways is something like 3 miles long. I can imagine hitting 240mph at the end of it in the MAZDA 787b then hammering on the brakes down the hill to the 90 degree right, then another long striaghtaway.

I SO much rather have the old Le Sarthe version then the new one which throws chicanes all along the big straight to slow you down.

Any news that both versions will be in, new and old?

But here's the catch: the two Ice Racing tracks look nothing like those used by the Trophee Andros! (Hope I spelt that right.) We know this because it's been mentioned by Kaz that the ice-racing circuits are pure fantasy tracks. So if the article says the tracks are from the Trophee Andros when they're not, how credible does the claim about Le Mans become?

Even more questionable is the fact that it's not a news article but a marketing spiel - they're trying to get people to buy the game so they could simply mention Le Mans as being in there to attract customers, but if it's not in, they can simply say it must have been taken out or some of the information given was incorrect.

Don't trust anything you read in the papers.
Trust anything that's trying to sell you a product even less.

They could be referring to Trophee Andros in a metaphorical respect; comparing the gameplay to something people are familiar with.

Or maybe not.

I won't be that disappointed if LeMans isn't in. Nürburgring is more than enough. My head is already in danger of exploding.

December is going to be sooooo frantic for many of us! I [still] cannot wait. You dig, players?

Who cares about a Le Mans track??(well actually me :dopey: ).They better put up in a Le Mans mode!24 hours racing with saving ability..........WOW!!!!!!!!

I don't really see the in race save feature in GT4, although Madden 2004/5 have in game saves.

Who says that those two ice race tracks are the only ones?
Maby there are more. As said before unless you ask very clearly and i nthe right wording and tone, KY won't give yo the answer you want.
God only knows what he has put into the game that we have not even the slightest clue about. Heck maby he has more photo locations! Maby way more than 650 cars! Anything is possible here....
Well except for those fine italian ladies in red, and those german ones with a quick attitude, and those other italian ladies in yellow who befriend the matador.....
No chances for them. None. Not in GT4 atleast.

But IF Le Mans was put in GT4, there would (or should) naturally be a 24-hour enduro. I'm sure PD doesn't expect us to stay up for a whole day to play it ...

unless i had backup drivers who were just as good or better then me, and i didnt have a life, i wouldnt mind that... but seeing that those arent relevant to me, that would be pretty dumb, even if LeMans is 24-hours

That's why PD would include a save feature - you pull into the pits and you can save your game. Of course, when you re-load you have to keep racing. But if Le Mans makes the final cut, it would be crazy not to have a 24-hour race. It's like having a meat pie without tomato sauce.

Do you race?
That's why PD would include a save feature - you pull into the pits and you can save your game.

💡

I never thought of that, in that case, PD should totally do it! :)

Double post, sorry my internet must hav screwed sumthin up

Lets just hope PD was thinkin smart like u this time around

Or instead of saving, they could let you switch to B-Spec on the fly, and draw out a long-term strategy to let the car drive itself overnight! Single-player driver-changes with the AI!

To add to your Post #114, "Do You Race," let's not forget that we are racers, not masochists. I can understand people can play a game all day, but I'm more on the premise of "let's work with everyone." I've actually talked to some people who play Gran Turismo and can't take all the long endurance races. My biggest uphill battle was Tokyo R246 at a whopping 2:45:00. To start, you'll have to set some time to play these races, even if you don't have enough time to run such events. Like, take me. I remember playing Grand Theft Autos 3 and Vice City. I could play the game for hours, but even I have to visit the Safe Houses just to save my progress. Or I remember my times playing Final Fantasy III (FF6 in Japan) on the SNES. Before I got ready to take on a big boss in the first half of the game, or face one of the Seven Dragons in the second half of the game, I saved. I know I could play all day if I wanted to, but when you play an RPG, you're going to have to save regardless.

If "Le Mans 24 Hours" mean anything, I'd want to be able to save my progress during endurance races, then MAYBE some long championship races. Think of endurances like their own championships. If you can't save your progress like with a normal race series, what's the point of going out of your way to play a lengthy race? And think of the GT newcomers and the inexperienced. You don't want to bombard him or her with a race that lasts longer than 10 minutes and no more than 3 hours. Account for everyone. Give special features so that everyone can enjoy the game. The more you build it around multiple people with multiple gaming styles, the more successful and more accessible GT4 will be.

But of course, if I sound like I'm offering a self-help clinic, think that. But all I'm trying to do is think about other people.

Longest Iv'e ever played a game was the two hours required to finish the Rome enduro in GT4.
