Least Favorite Tracks?

Grand Valley, it scares me. When Bob takes the lead, he can't escape the 2nd/and 3rd place cars unless he uses a car that is way out-classed.

But really, all the tracks that have never been real.

On a side note, I can't understand why some people least favorite Daytona, I've had some of my best races there. Same with Indy.

Cape Ring is a bit schizophrenic all together, but I don't hate it with really fast cars.

I do HATE Nurburgring GP, though, because the AI drivers spin out 70% of the time in what would be a tricky race in the FGT. Oh, and you can take a MAJOR shortcut and not be penalized, moreso than at Monza (because you can fly in at 150mph rather than take the chicane). It is fun for making cars fly upside down, though...

I will agree with the masses on Cape Ring full, it just feels wrong, I like most of the parts alone but the whole thing feels like a fractal gone wrong.

The Daytona road coarse also annoys me, and actually most of that is the entry to the infield section and the first S where you have to hit the dirt then avoid the wall. I thought once I learned it I wouldn't have so much hate but nope still hate. Maybe because the oval requires a fast car to make sense but that first part feels to technical for the cars the rest of the track requires.

Fuji- It's just not that fun to me. There's something about it that makes it all weird.

The really long highway in Tokyo- The name slips me, but this is just a worthless track for any type of racing outside of drag racing.

Daytona Road- I know it's real world, but it kicks my butt every time. I've never mastered this course.

I will say that I love nearly every other track on the game. Cape Ring full is contrived, but through its bits it is a great course. The outer and inner courses are really fun.

Full Cape Ring. I'm bored of it after all the 5lap races in A-Spec. It's just too long with all the slow corners. A long track needs to be fast, like the Nordshleife or Spa

Despite being great in terms of driving, I don't like any of the mountain rally tracks just for the fact that in real life you would fall in that high hill and not crash against a plasty protection...but as you can see the problem it's more me cause I continue to crash on them :D and probably when I stop hitting the walls I will like all the tracks in the game...

The two tracks with the unrealistic jumps (Eiger and Cape ring?) and the Nuremberg GP track.

I do enjoy Rome and London though.

Cape Ring Full.. 1 lap feels like an epic journey, moreso then nordschleife. 10 laps is like death.
Used to dislike racing Nordschleife.. completely due to a lack of practice. After an excellent stint in the Lupo and ongoing retries of the Nascar seasonal my opinion has totally changed and I enjoy seeing it come up in A-Spec events...

Tokyo, Grand Valley and Nurgburgring GP.

Not liking the hate for Cape Ring. The full tracks pretty long, but it has a lot of very nice corners, the Periphery's my favourite track though.

Cape ring full is boring, although i like the shorter routes. Grand Valley speedway and Suzuka full just don't feel like good racing to me, no real rhythm to them. Fuji, Eiger Nordwand and Nurburgring 24h circuit are also a ballache. I like the city courses most of all but all the other race tracks are great.

Suzuka and Fuji are truly awful tracks. I'm dreading the Suzuka 1000km!

Tsukuba is poor for anything other than drifting.

The cape ring, because it has the most dreadfull graphics of all tracks.👎

I hate the full one...Its the most boring track in the game.....When they came up with custom tracks like Grand Valley or Trial Mountain how did they come up with this cobblers! The Cape short tracks I like I think they were pushed for a track and grafted some useless boring bits in to fill it out!

Sorry for a double post but i just read this...

These are real tracks....and they are not lame.....OK Dont like Tsukuba...try and do it in less than 55 seconds in a modified road car...Fuji...love that track, would love to have the custom transmission back. How can you hate Suzuka? Its one of the best tracks! It has it all! It flows!

Tsukuba is downright boring. The thought of taking those long, uninspired corners for 9 hours while staring at the blank scenery gives me nightmares.

The full Cape Ring is pretty bad, simply because it's too long. The loop and the jump coming out of it are pretty unlikable too.

I dislike Fuji because they managed to take a fun, high-speed track and turn it into a slow, technical disaster. Going back and forth around those consecutive hairpins near the end makes me want to punch something.

indy and daytona. Aside from the ovals which are just plain retarded, even the infield "tracks" are uninspiring, dull and (worst of all) flat

Ovals + cars = NASCAR -> Boring

I know the polyphony knew this too but they just needed the money

I badly want to start a Fuji appreciation club, its one of my favourite tracks albeit after much practice and use in GT5P.
I'm surprised people don't like Suzuka too...I'm wondering whether people just like lazy tracks like High Speed Ring which don't take too much effort to win? I can't really see why Suzuka isn't liked as it does pretty much everything a great race circuit needs to do. In my opinion, its the definition of a race circuit.

My least favourite tracks is SSR7. I'm pretty happy at all the rest of the tracks in the game, though Tokyo took a very long time to really enjoy..since 2001 in fact.

SSR7 doesn't really do the right things for me, it doesn't really give much high speed racing because of the turns, and it doesn't really give much high speed thrills because of the long straights. Its trying to be two things at once, when really it should be a full blown motorway perhaps with a more complex section thrown in and let the old Test Course deal with high speed stuff.

I'm happy with the Ovals as they are sufficiently different to each other and I can enjoy Oval racing and its particular style. I do sometimes tire of the Nurburgring, especially if I'm in the mood for some hotlapping, as the lap is too long. Same for Le Mans, I really have to be in the mood for some long distance racing, I don't really like testing or free running around those two. I wish they had updated Monaco or at least provided a more detailed 2001 version, i.e. with a more accurate track surface, bumps and all. But none of those I could call "least favourite" as I do still enjoy them all.

I'm currently loving Tsukuba for its simplicity when it comes to straight cut hotlapping and testing different cars. Its very handy for tuning cars to a set laptime. Its easier to run a consistent lap with fewer corners, but there is still enough to test different cars' abilities (except straight line speed..but thats something that doesn't need practical testing so much).

Oh and  @ the Cape Ring hate. If it wasn't for my new found love of Tsukuba, Cape Ring would be the ultimate test track! Even if you hate specific parts of the full layout, you can run the variations, but I personally love all of it. The only thing it lacks is some negative camber corners and perhaps some higher kerbs and it would test pretty much all aspects you could think of for racing any circuit! Again, I'm surprised people don't like it, as its a lot of fun in any car.

Cape Ring - Too long and Unnatural
Fuji - Doesn't flow
Tsukuba - hate the awful final bend
London - Too tight
Madrid - same as above

SSR7- If you're gonna make a pointless drag track at least make the whole thing straight

Daytona and Indy are probably the two best tracks in the game, followed by High Speed Ring and Monza.

The worst tracks are Fuji, TopGear, and ALL of the rally tracks. TopGear literally has no purpose whatsoever, one of the most pointless tracks in existence. The rally tracks are boring and uninspired, and it doesn't help that rally racing is pitifully boring and trivial to begin with.

Agree with Fujii, Tsukuba and Suzuka.....I dont get the problem...Not with you on the Cape ring full though...I like most (it seems) think is a crock of human mud!

I still cant figure out how PD designed Grand Valley...A track I think should be built in real life and that waste of time concrete corcscrew track?

What on earth people hating suzuka for having bad flow??? It's a circuit renowned for its flow!!! It isn't the F1 driver's favorite all these years for nothing.

I hate all the inner city tracks:

Drag race
Brake hard
5 mph turn
Drag race
Brake hard
5 mph turn
Drag race...

No flow at all. And when you make a slight mistake, instead of a little off track excursion you end up in a wall.

Daytona and Indy, out of all the American tracks, why these two over better options? I understand they need the ovals for NASCAR, but the leave the uninspiring road courses out and make better use of that development time.

The new layout of Fuji isn't that great either, I wish they would've included previous versions like GT4 since it's such an iconic track in the Japanese racing history.

And PLEASE bring back the Pikes Peak Hill Climb PD!

Tsukuba, cause it's slow, bare, and only good for K cars and drifting.

SSR7, cause it's only good for drags.

Full Cape Ring, cause it's nothing but an infield track. And the jump.

And Monza, cause it's a foot shaped track with chicanes all over it.

Wow, plenty of hate for a few tracks here.

My views...

Cape Ring - Overall, I dont mind it, but really dont like the triple apex corner when it is a right hander, I just cant get it right. The hairpins to link the different variations also annoy me

Suzuka - Love the track. I have finally come to terms with Denger (after all those laps on previous games), I quite like the corners now. Still not a fan of the Spoon curve though.

Nurburgring Nordschleife - Awesome track to drive. Awful track to race/overtake on. I will rejoice when I can nail Bergwerk consistently.

R246 - Not so much of a hate for the track, I just cant get a rhythm going, even after playing all previous GT games.

All of the others I either like or don't really have an opinion either way on.
