LEAST Favourite corner

Yeah i have to agree the first corner at daytona, seems like i always end up smacked into the wall, i can brake on time but i get a whole bunch of understeer

1. Schwedenkruytz - The superfast lefthander towards the end of sector 2 at the Nordschleife.

2. Degner 2 - Slow righthander under the bridge at Suzuka. So easy to oversteer, which cost you a lot of time.

3. Turn 3 and 4 at Laguna Seca. I always enter too fast. Those 2 corners are so slippery, and it feels like the banking is the wrong way even tho I know that's not the case.

4. Daytona RC T1 - As perviously stated.

5. 130 R - This high speed corner is so hard to clear, cause if you touch the astro to the right by the slightest, it's good bye.

6. T1 and last turn at Fuji - Can't get them right.

7. Blanchemont - Super tricky fast lefthander just before the bus stop at Spa.

8. T6 - Nurburgring GP/F. It seams like it takes for ever before you can apply throttle. The front end never settles..

9. T1 - Tsukuba. Can't get it right.. The bump in the middle of the breaking zone always get me.

10. Spoon corner - This long (2 turns?) lefthander after 200R at Suzuka is def a tough corner. It's double apex, combined with the hight you need for a good exit out on the back straight makes it easy to go too wide and spin on the slippery curb to the right..

That's some of the corners that really makes me hold my breath.

Carusell and last Tokyo turns are not that hard for me to handle.

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Madrid, all of Madrid, AARGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!
To me its Hong Kong version 2.

Um.... For me it's Schwalbenschwanz. On the Nurburgring.

Not that you asked for tips, but this is what works for me. Line up so that it seems you're aimed a little too far to the inside for the fast right-hander that starts it. The kink in the road there seems so slight but it does kick you outside and it seems like whenever I get even a little bit too far left I lose tons of grip and can never recover. If I start it heading more right, I can brake in a straight line to get into the first corner easier, then it's not too bad getting through the tight left at the top of the hill. If I come off the first corner too wide at all there's no way I can ever manage to get into the second one without bleeding off way more speed than seems necessary.

I've seen so many people(myself included) get themselves in a world of hurt here by trying to push it as deep as they can into the first corner which generally only results in a lot of wasted time chasing the car if you're lucky enough to not stuff it into either the armco or the gravel pit.

The last turn is mostly straightforward as long as you manage to get slowed down early enough. The car has to be settled going onto the concrete or things get hairy. I always catch myself leaving my braking a little too late for this.

The second to last corner in the Tsukuba Circuit for drifting. I just can't enter it fast enough or i am too slow and I always end up spinning out :indiff:

I'm going to have to agree with everyone who mentioned Fuji. Specifically, I hate the entire last set of corners from the chicane at the bottom of the "backstretch," so to speak, all the way up to the hideous corner before the frontstretch that becomes sharper. The whole section has absolutely no flow to it at all.

Parabolica at Monza also changes radius as you progress through the turn, however it goes from sharper to wider (as opposed to the opposite way at Fuji), so it really allows you to open up as you progress through it and not slow down through it.

Sign me up as yet another member of the "boycott the first corner of the daytona road course" club.

:signed:

I also fly off the last turn at Laguna Seca on my final lap every time I've managed to squeak past the rabbit. So I hate that corner as well.

The entire last sector of Fuji.

That section has zero rythym... I hate it so much. The line you have to take through that corner to even have a chance at sticking with the AI through there is awful.

Nurburgring GP/F: I hate Ford Kurve. It's over 90 degrees (less than 90?) and I always start coming out of the turn too early, plus there's a sand trap waiting for me off the left edge. When I keep with the turn longer, I keep too long and come out late when I could have unwinded earlier. Also it seems like that turn has reduced grip compared to the rest of the track. Extremely frustrating.

First corner at Rolex Daytona...
First place I had a crash in GT5 at My Viper drift up high... but I was fine... until the Barrier leaped out from the wall and My Viper did some Acrobatics that would feature in some Parkour Failure TouYube vid.

The twin Hairpins at Indy Road Course have to be mentioned as a real boring chore to get round. "Nice tree" shouldn't be on your mind in a corner.

Sorry America - El Capitan was awesome and Sears Point was good fun, but Andretti Hairpin at Laguna Seca is a slap in the face of what used to be here - back in the day.

Gah Even Seattle had god fun corners to it.

Final Chicane at Big Madrid is a bit of a struggle -

And the winner is...

IndyRoad Course with "One tree, Two hairpins"-

I say winner...

As much as I love Trial Mountain, those first corners leading to the first tunnel just annoy me so 🤬 much I just want to :banghead: I end up on the grass almost every 🤬 time I makes me  and I end up :ouch:

Ok :)

Scratch my previous post, I forgot about the last section of Fuji Speedway; I hate that section for it's lack of speed flow.

The last part of fuji is high on my list too. The radius is ever decreasing and the apexes are pretty late, its hard for me to find a good line.

I was racing on Laguna Seca and the first three turns are quite similar. I dont race it too much, but the turns just seem to tighten up outa nowhere. Im like, ok passed the apex, give it some ga... OH WHAT?! Im in the grass >.>

I HATE the third last turn on Deep Forest Raceway. In GT3 it was hard to see, and hard to go through. And in GT5, I can see, but it still feels like a blind spot, and the turn is very narrow. Worst chichane ever. :grumpy:

On the Nordschleife I'm having problems with the corner between "Schwedenkreuz" and "Aremberg" nearly everytime I pass it at high speed. I hate it being followed closely by someone at this section...

The Porsche curves on LeMans. Especially that big sweeping right hander. It's pretty rare I get the perfect line through that. I pretty much suck at that whole track - I'm always slightly overshooting or undershooting Mulsanne, just can't find the right braking point. The Dunlop Chicane isn't a favorite either.

Tsukuba - there's the left hand hairpin and that right hander after it. Even after the 8 hour endurance race I never did find the correct line for that right hander. It's just awkward.

Pretty much any curve where the correct line is out in the middle of nowhere. The big right hander before the straight at Fuji...I just make a huge mess out of that.

Mt Aso - the simple little right hander before the high-banked 3rd gear slingshot left...for the life of me I just can't find the braking point, coming in with so much speed. On comfort tires without ABS, anyway.

For me, I have always struggled with Twin Ring Motegi as a whole, but when itcomes to specific corners.. the Nurb's "Wehrseifen" corner quickly comes to mind, i can never get a good line on it, with any car :ouch:
