Picked this up today, really good fun online and teamwork is a must. I've gone ahead quite a few times by myself and got ripped to pieces. 👍

Here's another thing I've learned, from the demo alone. I'll put it the way someone at another forum did...

"Expert or GTFO".

Seriously, expert is where this game lives. A real sense of urgency and "Holy crap there's 100 zombies chasing me and I only have a pistol" are needed for the full effect.

Expert is become a pain listening to the people online rave about how everyone else is a wuss for playing any other difficulty.

Ok, Mr. Fantastic. Sorry, but I don't play with people quite smart enough to survive any of the final battles on Expert, and I'm barely beating them on Advanced in certain stages, even with some great teamwork, and planning before any Horde moments.

It's fun, but people seem to think they're now some sort of god despite the fact I have yet to see these same people get to the final stages.

On Expert alone is hard...soon I am going to run around on expert mode with a pistol.

But after listening to the audio commentary, it seems that Valve has made a awesome game for beginner's to FPS genre.
when I was playing on PC, the majority of people I played with didn't care what level I played on, I often asked them what level would they liked.

I think one of the exciting things for the X360 users (Previous PC Valve users will already have had this with TF2) is that Valve will continue to release new content for this game in the upcoming months, expecting new things such as zombie bosses & levels.

That, we'll have to see. Valve usually just releases everything in TF2 for free as an update. Whether or not the folks behind Live will let that happen is up to them.

I love how there is no safe spot in this game. But I hope that the add-ons aren't expensive.

I think I was playing on the last level yesterday where you are on the rooftop. The horde of zombies that came was so intense, then a tank came and started tearing the place up.

I like the way you have to jump in to help team mates when they are down, had some crazy Rambo style moments where I've had to go in all guns blazing to revive someone. I wouldn't mind paying for extra download content especially if they introduce some new weapons and characters.

That would be the final mission on No Mercy. And yes, that was tough as hell. Thankfully, my buddy and I found a very safe spot where you can continuously melee all the zombies off the roof, and they have only way other way to come at you. With the Tank, we did lose 2 people, but both of us outlasted until the run to the helicopter, in which my buddy told me to go on without him.

I climbed onto the top of the vent on the main building, was holding out ok until a tank came and knocked me off the building. I didn't manage to complete it. The horde also come from different locations as well which helps to keep things interesting.

We finally ended up renting this on friday and I am glad we only rented it. As everyone else said, we were able to beat the campaigin in under 2 hours. Its only 5 levels and 2 of them are from the demo. Respawning enemies just makes some parts of this game cheap.
This game is a rental by a longshot. This game is a rental by a longshot. I cant believe they are selling this for $60.00. I do like the intro to this game a lot.

What difficulty were you playing it on? I admit there is a shortage of levels but hopefully there will be some new content.

We were playing on normal. Anything above that and the AI is just cheap especially with the respawning enemies. Even though we were on the easier difficulty (2nd difficulty out of 4), there is no reason a game should be able to be beat within 2 hours. I can put the GOW2 co-op campaign on the easiest difficulty and it will still take around 12 hours to beat.
2 hours is rediculous and charging $60.00 is a rip off. Glad I only rented it. If you put L4D on the easiest difficulty it could be beat within an hour and a half.

Valid points and I guess that completion in under 2 hours isn't really acceptable. I'm really hoping they release some free download content to increase the lifespan.

It is true that it does get cheap at certain points of the game. All I do miss in FPS is the team work. Unlike COD 4 online, it seems that you can win by yourself at the chance of luck, but I will miss that too. Somehow, certain FPS games are better when they are the original mod. I was disappointed when I heard 4 player co-op but like Halo 3, its only on XBL. I thought it was the co-op was on offline games but I was sad at that fact.

I apologize for the misleading information. So these are the facts...
There are 4 different campaigns with 5 acts ranging around 2 hours each on the easiest difficulties?
