Left paddle on g27 stopped responding.

It clicks but does nothing. I've checked inside and I've jumped the switch with a spare wire and still nothing. I've seen some google searche about it but no fixes.

Anyone dealt with this?

I highly suggest to send it in and get another one (if still under warranty)

It's about 4 years old and pre owned, has been thru hell and back. I contacted logitech and there isn't even anywhere to send these things to get fixed for a fee.

That's sucks bro. I am sure someone that knows about the internals can help you. Hope you get it fixed soon.

Maybe the wire that goes through the collumn has snapped? If the wheel was used a lot that might've happened.

I've checked and rechecked everything. I'm thinking one of the boards hold the problem.

That is exactly what happened to mine a few weeks back. my right paddle stopped working intermittently then after a tug on the wire is stopped completely.

I took everything apart to gained access to both ends of the wire bundle that runs through the wheel, checked it for continuity. I found 2 broken wires right as they exit the back of the wheel hub where they angle off. After I pulled the harness out the back a bit (its captive with in the hub and can only be moved back and forth a bit) the problem/break was obvious.

Finding the issue was easy, but soldering in a patch was a bit finicky since the wire is so small and it needs to remain small (after being repaired) so it still fits in the center of the hub and allows it to spin freely.

If you tried jumping this connection and it did nothing I would test the other shifters button with the jumper in place, that way you can run the same wiring through both shifter buttons and narrow it down to wiring or the button.

Thanks grog for writing that! I am gonna check the bundle for continuity and hopefully I have a bad wire.

If it happened to yours it coulda happened to mine being mine has been through a lot of miles and hours, it was bought on Craigslist used so I can not complain!

I tried checking the wires going thru the wheels and they check out fine. I saw a loose harness on the paddle switch board but it was for the right paddle an buttons, which work fine. Solder that holds it to the board was a bit cracked off but I wedged plastic under it and tried it to no avail.

I'm thinking its the smaller board with the paddle buttons on it!

I've seen others talking about this problem but no one has a fix.

Just wondering. When you push that paddle, does it make a click sound?

Yes the click is there and I've checked continuity in the switch and its working fine.

The left paddle and the three red buttons on the left side have all died.

It's time for a replacement I suppose, the wheel has been rough like a ratchet for 6 months also.

I can still win with automatic tho I found out!

Sucks. Yeah it seems as if your circuit boards are just going out. Sorry to hear that.
