Let's drive to the Moon...and beyond!

Hey y'all. I've had this crazy idea for awhile now, actually I thought of it the week GT5 was released. It's simple. Let's drive to the Moon. If we make it to the Moon, let's keep going!

How will we do this? By totaling up our Total Distance Driven, and posting it in this thread. and I'll keep track of the combined distance overall, adding my distance to those of anybody who posts here. I will check back on this thread at least every other day. Edit: err...every other month?

You can post in kilometers or miles. I will convert everything so that there's a combined distance in both km and miles. If you don't feel like posting in this thread, feel free to PM me, too. And feel free to add to this thread periodically if you desire to add more miles. Feel free to check my math, too (in a nice way ).

Total Distance Driven can be found in GT Life's Profile area, in case you're not sure. It is a combination of A-spec and B-spec apparently (I just checked this).

According to that website and several others, the Moon's distance from us varies, but it's roughly 384,403 kilometers or 238,857 miles. That's less than I thought it was. I imagine we'll make it to the Moon in less than a day if everybody posts, because I know some of you drive a lot.

Once we make it to the moon, let's try for Venus! Mars! The Sun!

My Total Distance Driven for several game saves as of March 27, 2011 happens to be 12,391.4 miles at the moment, which is 19,941.1 km. This puts me firmly outside the Earth's atmosphere and is far more than I drive in real-life during an entire year! I'm sure that's nothing in comparison to some of you.

I was referring to getting all bronze before the update that changed the bronze times, after the update I got the silver-gold-silver.

Not sure who Noby Noby Boy is. Nope, didn't copy him or her. I thought of the thread title from that old song "Take me to the Moon". Something like that. Not sure who wrote it, is it Gurren Laggan? Guess I'll Google that name. There's also a Doors song (copied from an earlier source I think) called "Let's Swim to the Moon".

And I'm actually lower than 10,806! I think I'm second-lowest so far with distance.
