Finding a free parking space right off the entrance of a mall or supermarket;

Watching my dog and cats playing around.

There was a thread back in the day called What are you a sucker for? in the General Car Discussion forum which had some contributions that could be applied to this thread too.

-Seeing a Boxster or other car's spoiler automatically go up as they get on the highway.

-Shifting into top gear and your hand brushes the passenger's leg. Oppositely, your driver's hand brushes your leg when they shift into top gear.

-That eery scary feeling you get if you turn off your lights driving on a remote highway in the middle of the night and not seeing any light infront or behind you. Total darkness going 100kph.

:)

This confused me for a little while… then I realised I lived in Australia.

You do that on purpose? Its a bit too scary when it just happens when you're driving.

Just for a second to see just how dark it is, the isolating feeling of being all alone (which brings up another thread idea: how far have you ever been from another human?). I have also had it happen by accident in a 93 Golf with dodgy electricals. You just go "uuuuuuuuuuuuh wtf" and restart things and hope it'll light up.

- Sleeping with the windows open in the colder weather, and still feeling nice and warm in my comforter.

- Opening a box of pizza to realize that it's already at the perfect temperature, not scalding hot, but not yet luke warm either.

- Resetting the trip odometer after I fill my tank (although I rarely fill it these days, just see what $20 will get me usually.)

- Seeing how excited my dog gets when I come home from work/school.

- Throwin back beers with an old friend that you haven't seen for years.

Yeah, think about it. It probably isn't more than a couple hundred yards or maybe a mile or two. Not a single human being near you is a rare thing...

Finding out someone remembers you after all those years, despite not talking to them much when you were in each other's company.

Indeed. Even when you’re in a really isolated area you usually have someone with you.

- Girls looking or smiling at you

- Driving over a large hill of some sort to see miles of highway ahead

- The smell rain makes when it starts to fall or when it is getting near

- Someone remembering you but you not remembering them. I don't think I'm better then them it's just it's cool to know people remember you

- Driving in slow traffic by using throttle control and not constantly hitting the brakes

- Beating a wreckless/fast driver to the next light by outsmarting them and picking the right lanes of traffic to follow and not zig zagging through traffic like them

- The relief of rebuilding an engine and having it kick off from your first try without any problems

- Running across something that reminds me of God, like last night I looked inside a big green pepper and to see what looked like 1000 seeds inside one little pepper was just incredible

- Long Drives with music

- Driving down a highway after a large rain shower with dark storm clouds

Driving on a long road trip and passing through several types of weather. Burning sun, heavy rain, etc.

I don't know why, but passing through different climates like that make the trip seem more... epic.

Same here, though that counts for me on cycling. It gets even more epic when there's a huge thunderstorm just in front of you or right behind you, so you begin to cycle like hell to avoid it, but suddenly hell brakes loose just above you. It's pretty scary, but when you come home you really go "Man that was epic!" (Or maybe I'm just crazy)

My favourite thing at the moment though is being with my girlfriend all day long. Just being outside, throwing a frisbee at eachother, playing volleyball, laying in the sun... It gets even better when they're running around with nearly no clothes on because "Oh my would you look at me, it's so hot outside!" and you're going "I'm too!" Those bloody women :dopey: Oh well, I'm just enjoying it while I still can

Great ones so far.👍

Some more:

Noticing no one is on the computer, jumping on, and spending time on GTP for several hours.

Driving down the road towards a railroad crossing, and the gates going down right as you get there. Then, as you enjoy the train going by, you notice everyone else is complaining in their cars about how their going to be late for something or other. (applies to railfans only)

Turning on the Speed Channel just in time to see the last lap of last year's Daytona 500.

At school, coming in to class realizing I have to present my project in front of the class, and remembering that I don't have it. Then, ending up not having to present.
Or, alternatively, coming to the same class on the same day, realizing today is presentation day, then realizing I have my project with me.

Trying to imagine everything that's been posted in this thread happening to me and getting a great feeling inside just thinking about it.

:-)

This happened to me the other day.

When a totally random girl gives you her number. And furthermore, knowing that you dont need to call her because you already have an amazing girl to spend time with. Its just a good feeling.

Everytime my 1G AWD DSM starts and runs...

Chirping 3rd gear, pasting a grin on your face.

Doing a clean car audio install and having it work the first time.

Finally fixing a problem you've had for months.

School getting out for the summer (Last final is Tuesday!)

Seeing your mates face everytime you make your ex laugh, and she's dating him now. (I'm not bitter, honest!)

Finding £10 in your "going out" wallet, that you last used 3 weeks ago.

Not getting ID'd at a pub when you order a beer with your lunch, and you're only just 18.

Being right behind your mate on the off-ramp, even though you lost track of him on the motorway because he was doing 90 (in his 1.2 Clio :irked: )

I think if I ever sat in one, I might never get out – it’s by far my favorite car interior currently. It’s no coincidence that Apple helped them out a bit. ;)

I don’t know anything about music – would that be considered a nicety?

Maybe... bending notes is pretty sweet. Especially if you're playing a guitar that lets you really go town.

Me two. Can you hand me a tissue?

What are you on about?

What I would like to add is:

Catching a glass that you knocked of the table just before it hits the floor.

Getting the the Bus stop the moment the Bus comes round the corner,

When a song you love but haven't heard for agers gets selected while on shuffle.

What do you think I'm on about?
Waking up an hour before you have to wake up, and realizing it's an entire hour extra you get to sleep.
