Like your screen name?

I used to use Klepto, but decided to change for some reason. That was like 6 years ago. I've been LoudMusic everywhere I go since then. I like it. Other people seem to like it. Maybe some day I'll get it tatoo`d on my ass.

I obviously didn't like my previous screen name (youth_cycler, for those of you who are newer or forgot)... stemmed from the fact that the first forum I ever joined was a cycling forum, which is a sport I no longer have any interest in.

Of course, my current one's just fine, since it's just my first name. :) It's not a "universal" one though, because it's often taken on larger forums or on the IM services, so I add my last name, middle initial, or even replace the O and L with numbers.

Did you know there are at least 3 other "Sage Olson"s in the U.S.?

Yes, I like my screen name, and I was very surprised that it wasn't already taken when I registered. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that there were only 900 or so registered members at the time, but every single other website I've registered at it has already been taken.:irked:

I never change my name. Anywhere. Ever!

Concept's fine I guess. Don't really need it to be changed again. I don't frequent here enough to care actually. I'm sorta like Zero, outcasted and forgotten. Well, at least outcasted. :-/

I would change my name to 16a96Mike_2002. Nah.

But some lumberjacks here do - for some reason - think my real name is Mike

I love mine! LoL.. I usually have it as this on most forums, a couple I have ones made custom for the sites... off topic though, I like the 'tar Mike Rotch! :D

They're just shortening your screen name....Brad.

Well, I gave myself this name after my late car. It was a Miata with a second generation RX-7 engine in it. God I loved that car. It was wonders to burn some dude on a track and tell them they just got burnt by a sissy car. The name at that point kinda stuck and everywhere I go I register that name. It is a shame because now I drive an Iroc. I was thinking maybe -> I ROC U -> but that is gay so nevermind :D

I think I just realised what Brad's name is supposed to say. I would've prefered to not have.

Mr. Holland is much better.
I've have to say that I'm guilty of calling him Mr. Holland as well.

I'd get rid of the 101 at the end of my name. The only reason I add it is because it's always available on every site I sign up on. Otherwise I would just use Ethix.

Ethix101 seems like a class that I took in College "Ethics 101". It's just one step shy of being prestigious.

Boombexus is another good one.

My thoughts on screen names are that it goes beyond what you do and somewhat personifies you. Naming yourself after a car is not one that I've found that sticks around. There area few exceptions, but for the most part, a car part or name is rare to hang on for a long period. Now, were you to name yourself "Vanquish" that wouldn't really count, as the verb vanquish means more than the car. Were you to use the name "Mr. Corvette" you'd be stretching.

Anyone remember 705HPsupra? But we all remember RoadHazzard. Then of course, there's Skillz.

Der Alta has been my on-line moniker since I registered on-line waaay back when. It's a variation on a nickname developed from my last name.

The only other on-line name I was known by was "VTcowboy". for a short period.

I use to have the name ZeroCool85, taken from Hackers (not very original) so after an incident that happened 2 years ago I requested for Jordan to change my name to Zero.

PunkRock - You know that I like to call you by your real name, much like I do to everyone that I know their real names, except for LoudMusic because he'll kill me if I mention his real name in anything but a PM.

Mine is supposed to be a cute little play off all the Japanese Spec - XYZ Alphabet soup naming. Only problem with it is that I'll have to change it after I sell the M3.
