Limit of Paints

Is there a limit to how many paints you can store I have at present 3146 paints
I'm unable to obtain anymore
It's saying I HSBC to use of delete

Anyone else have of had this problem ?

I have 3541 paints and I'm able to collect more. Maybe you have too many suits and horns and it's causing you to hit the item limit?

Think it's just paints as I sent 5 to my other account and when It reset at 0.00am I didn't receive my login bonus paints

As far as we're aware, there is no limit on paints in particular, but there is a limit on items, which includes everything in your items list.

If you've got 7000 items, you cannot get any more paints, nor can you get any more suits, horns or tickets, but you can get more museum cards and more cars (unless you've hit the 2000 car limit as well), as these aren't in your items list (car tickets are, mind you).

Just got the limit message as well, currently sending duplicate suits to alternate accounts, that reduces the count right???

If you only get one of every item currently in the game, you'll still be below the 7000 item limit, as there are less than 7000 unique items in the game all up (at least currently). You'll have to do a lot of housekeeping until then, though, and keep removing quite a few duplicates, as otherwise, you'll most likely hit 7000 before you get every unique item. And yes, it's a real pain. You better find a way to get some enjoyment out of deleting duplicates or GT5 can become quite an annoyance.

You may want to check your paints by item name.
You will find that you have 2 or more entries for some colours.
You can then delete some of these and leave just 1 chip!

Alternatively spend a lot of time in the paint shop spraying a car!

Thanks for clearing that up. I was planing to have at least 2 of each item in the game, specially paint chips. But now that I know about this I better start going OCD on my GT5.

Well, there is an alternative. Collecting on different accounts. You could have 2 of every paint on one account, and then you collect all your other items on a different account. I'm actually seriously considering to move all my gear (don't even want to think about the work involved), to a different account, to make more room for paint.
