The Mazda Autozam. Thought that was the one you originally asked about.

Also after removing the rear aero wing that I had on the car initially the stage 3 turbo is defiantly faster than the stage 2 with an automatic transmission. Also definatly requires the race transmission as I've hit 107 mph with it.

What are your lap times for that car?

That tip got it driving about the same time as the Move but I don't see myself shaving off 8-9 more seconds so that it's down to 2'44"

I can't get my lap times under 1 minute. How do you do it?

Like I said I'm not the best driver and haven't ran this car (Autozam) for a while on this track. But my best lap time with it today was 0:58.050, and I was running the race around 2:59.xxx.

You drive automatic or manual transmission? Also what driving aids and type of tires?

I think I slide the car about too much.

Are comfort medium tires the only ones you can use?

No! There are no tire restrictions for the Kei car Eifel race so slap some racing softs on it.

yes racing softs...and to get a 57 second lap you need to hit the first checkpoint under about 13.5xx seconds.

You should all check out the thread "what's your records on Eifel 104a" in the seasonal forum if you haven't already.

MT, Racing Mids,
Traction Control: 5
SRF: On
ASM: Off
Active Steering: Off
ABS: 1

Try using a stage 2 turbo instead of a stage 3 in the Mira.
Your torque will shoot way up but you'll have to shift at fairly low rpms to take advantage of it. You'll probably want taller gears as well to stretch the useable powerband.
Haven't a clue how to set that up though as I only drive automatic.

Also use race softs makes a difference.

My best in the Mira is 2'40'1 with SRF on and 2'42'8 with it off. My best lap is a 0'52'2. I started using a controller now because it takes less concentration.

Shall I put rigidity improvement on my car?

what car is the Mira ?

Shall I buy the rigidity improvement for my car?

No good answer to that one. I usually add it but can't tell how much if any difference it makes.

Did you buy it for your Mazda Autozam?

Yes. Did it when I first got the car, also did full aero including a large rear wing that I just removed.

My best lap at the moment is 0.56.754 with a Daihatsu OPC or something... fully upgraded, RS tyres, no aids.

Why is called the Mira?

Ask Daihatsu, same car they just gave it two different names. One might be for Japanese market and other for export.

I've been using this and getting 57:3xx quite easily.
Daihatsu copen active top. It's a premium
Fit everything to it.

Aero rear 18
Ballast 90kg 50% all the way to the back

Power limiter to 151bhp mines 73.9%

Set gearbox max speed to 112mph

Ride height Front -15 Rear -15
Spring rate Front 5.4 Rear 4.9
Dampers extension Front 4 Rear 4
Dampers compression Front 4 Rear 4
Anti roll bar Front 2 Rear 2

Camber Front 1.5 Rear 1.0
Toe Front 0.00 Rear 0.00

All assists of except abs 1

Works really well for me.

Just run a 56.758

If you remove the rear wing (its really not needed) you'll reduce your PP freeing up more power. Also you'll reduce aerodynamic drag so your top speed should show an increase and your lap times get faster. Mid 56 second range should be easy with the Copen active top.

Ok I'll give that a go

Also you might add more ballast to reduce or eliminate the power limiter required. You actually get a better power to weight ratio with slightly greater weight and increased power at the PP limit than through use of the power limiter.

Last suggestion is to make sure you position the weight so you get as close to 50/50 weight distribution as possible.
Makes the handling much more neutral in a FF car.

58.0's... in my Cappucino RM

Just got a 55.009 cheers for the help gonna try adjust the suspension a bit more.

Downforce rear down to minimum 5

Weight 872 ballast 140 all the way to the rear 53/47 weight distribution

Power up to 173bhp and 20.6 torque

And changed 5th gear to 1.004:1 to get a bit more on the straight now just at the end of the straight at 111mph

Gonna go for 54 seconds now.
