@LOGI_Rich Hey how're you doin' bro'?

I've not been around since December (just the past few weeks) so it's impractical for me to read all the posts in the thread at this point, so...

Where do we stand at this point with my "Lock Angle" / "Lock DoR" request? I cannot tell you how tedious-and-annoying it's been for me to adjust for every race. I can't race online either 'cause the only way I can get it to stick for any event, be it single-player or otherwise, is to pause the game after crossing the start line, make the tweak and then resume. Restarting "erases" it too.
It wouldn't be a big deal if not for the fact that I spent 20 years using the original Driving Force, so I drive waaay better at 180Āŗ and struggle to recover a car at anything higher.

One other thing:
I've had to wrap the wheel with a tennis-racket-handle wrap thingy 'cause the threads started fraying and loosening. One could even feel the cover moving as one drove previously. No gloves involved. Couple o' hours' driving per week.

The question is, are there any "latest tips" for handling this?

Thank you as always in advance brother. Long time no talk so I'm sorry I didn't get back to you last December when I said I would. Had a super-serious health situation to deal with.

The McLaren wheel and the new DD System should be revealed today, right?

Can't wait. That McLaren wheel is gonna be mine.

Last year the leaks on the day were accurate. If an H-shifter existed, it’d be showing up somewhere.

Sadly, I think we’re in for another disappointment.

I hope I’m wrong and Rich does a Steve Jobs ā€œoh and one last thingā€¦ā€ on stage tonight.

That said - I’m not gonna pretend to be jumping ship and chucking a tanty over it. I understand business decisions. And I’m pretty happy with my RS sequential shifter. I sold my driving force one and have forgotten the joy of H-shifting

No H shifter guys :(. The website of Logitech G is already updated. There is a new 8nm base with a wheel.

But no H shifter :( damn already waiting couple years on it. It’s a big big big disappointment.

Watching the live stream and i think i saw that cheap ass relic of an H shifter in the video, so that confirmed it for me too.

The McLaren wheel is not really what I wanted. Hmmm. I’m torn. I was hoping for a Fanatec style GT3 wheel. This is…. What is this actually? A hybrid? Doesn’t really look like a formula wheel either.

Going to pick up the McLaren Rim for the RS Hub for sure, does look very nice. However ideally this wasn’t what I wanted, I hoped they were getting ready for a Proper F1 Rim Attachement like the Mercedes Sim Lab but I guess this would be way more niche for the brand to release on its own….However I guess this paves the way for this in the future.

@LOGI_Rich Do we know when we’ll be able to pre order the Rim Attachement here in the UK? It’s up on the website but not order-able? I’m hoping it’s no where near as delayed as the MOMO Launch as that was a little messy…

P.S. Love the McLaren x Logi Polo’s! Anywhere I can get my hands on one? šŸ™‚

The cheap logitech shifter is the only one
Damn, thought Drivehub might have saved us.

Although at £250 for the 8nm base on PC (and therefore I think Xbox with my pro wheel) maybe I should downgrade to that to be able to afford the £40 Race adapter to make it work, the old H shifter, and the mods to make it any good?

Provided the Pro base would sell, but who'd buy one now this exists?

EDIT: possibly less than £250 if the 15% off signup (or student discounts) work, along with 4% at TopCashback.

I’m currently running DriveHub with the Simagic DS-8X shifter. Have also run the Fanatec shifter too. That said, it does do some slight feedback changes, when running it. The best way to describe it is that the noise floor on the TFAudio is higher.

I had a lack of space in my living room and wasn't using my wheel much so i tried selling it a few months ago, but no one was biting (unless you count ridiculous low bids). Only thing that got sold was my Simagic shifter. My space problem got solved, so i'm in the market again for a shifter :') I waited for LogiPlay but i guess it will be a Simagic shifter once again.
