Gutted to hear that Kim Collins has been kicked out of the Kitty & Nevis team, no 100m for him then. :(

They just showed a replay of Asafa Powell's 100m run in the 6th heat, and he takes 4/5 steps outside of his lane. Shouldn't that mean disqualification?

Big night tonight in for team GB! Dai Greene in the 400m hurdles, Mo Farah in the 10,000m and mens football v South Korea..another night of channel-hopping ahead then!!

..also Jess Ennis as well!!

Archery 3
Martial Arts 2
Shooting 2
Fencing 2

All could be used to kill..

These are South Korean right? :odd:

Missed my post apparently. Tree'd ya by 3 hours.

3 in archery, 2 in fencing, 2 in Judo, 2 in shooting.

EDIT: Just noticed USA has passed China for #1 in the medal count.

Quite gutted cause my fellow countryman Mark Barriga lost at 48kg boxing.. If only we had a Manny Pacquiao for amateur boxing too :sly:

Watching the women's tennis finals now! I'm expecting a thrashing by Serena. She's already broken Sharapova as I took a quick glance at the tv. She leads 2-0

UPDATE: Serena won the first set 6-0. Nothing Sharapova can do to counter against Williams' form.
She is the 3rd women to be bageled (6-0) by Serena Williams in this Olympics. She is clearly in a class above all the women.

If they were running a bend, and he went over the line to the inside, yes. However, with a straight line event like the 100m, as as long as he didn't impede the runner in the lane he strayed into, then he should be OK.

HOL y crap! . Serena Williams putting a Beat Down on Sharapova.

@Lankay. Serena Williams actually hates Maria Sharapova so badly....Ever since that Wimbledon final in 2004 when Sharapova beat Williams. Williams has just seeked revenge on another level each time they play.

Azarenka and Wozniacki atleast got on the scoreboard against Serena showing you how good they are. Sharapova has no chance...Demoralizing loss...

Looks like Serena Williams is going to win gold at wimbledon...

Sharapova wrote her death wish to Serena back in 2004...LOL. no one take s 2004 Wimbledon title from Serena Williams!!
Not long know.

I chuckle a little everyday the rankings for WTA come out and Serena Williams isn't listed as No. 1 in the world.. She is in my opinion the Greatest Womens tennis player in tennis history.

At the sailing women's laser radial it's super close for the medal race monday. With 1 point separating the first 4 places.

Go Evi! :gtpflag:
Belgium needs more medals...

lol. At first glance it looked like "Go Evil."

Ahhhh okay, I wasn't sure on the rules, thanks 👍

Serena Williams is a beast! If Federer wins, then both Olympic good medalists won Wimbledon.

How was Lithuania even close to the U.S. in basketball?

Linas Klezia scored, what, 24 points? And I think LeBron was guarding him off and on.

Very poor effort by the starters of Team USA.

I hope Murray exacts his revenge on Federer! I like both of them, but I want Andy to win at Wimbledon!

And we have a men's Wimbledon final repeat, in Centre Court.

Same game, same court, same players...

Same winner. :sly:

The American flag blew away during Serena's medal ceremony.. Flags are proving to be a problem in London .

Lol, I saw that too.

Oscar Pistorius, "The Fastest Man on No Legs", finishes 2nd in his heat.

Do you think he has an advantage over able-bodied runners?

Just found the 'Omnium' in cycling...have to say it involves a very complex system but the fact it is 120 laps of the Velodrome is beast. ...And yet that only covers 30km. Not as epic a length as the number of laps or the name, but epic nevertheless.

They wouldn't let him take part if he had.

He has a disadvantage at the start according to multiple Gold winner Michael Johnson.

With the flexibility of those steel legs, he may be right, since they will flex and take longer to gain momentum. But when he does gain momentum, he's throwing less leg weight around then able bodied runners.

I read the rules and still don't completely understand it.

The blades have 92% energy return on lift off compared to 95% for an able bodied runner, so no.

Also my Tennis final tickets have probably jumped up in value over the last two days.

Well that was ludicrous. Gold medal women's team pursuit final and Team GB obliterated the US. They were in the same straight for most of the last kilometre and beat their own world record having earlier beaten their own world record...

Omnium 30k pursuit: A one-lap sprint occurs every 10 laps. Riders are given points according to how they "finish" that pursuit. Riders are also given points if they lap other riders. Riders are ranked according to the most points after 120 laps.

The 30k pursuit is one of six individual events in the Omnium. Winning an individual event scores 1 point, coming second scores 2 points and so on. The Omnium winner has the lowest number of points after the six events.

Wow! Gold medal, new world record, Australians came 4th, what more could you ask for? Simply amazing!

The british cycling team are whipping the floor with everyone!!!!

BEST IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!

Jealous  I've only ever seen Federer IRL once and that was when he still wore a ponytail

Must be the hangover from destroying Nigeria the previous game.

Still, for all the troubles Lithuania gave, USA still managed to pull out a win.

It's funny how paranoid USA fans are getting now.

Dai Greene only finishes 4th in his semi final!!, he might not make it to the final!!!:nervous::scared:
