Looking for bad/average adult racers.....In other words, I suck and have for years...

Dude seems to suck at responding to PSN FR too. Mercenary_Wez responded and added me. But the dude that started the thread just erased my invite, no reason given. Since they are usually racing in his Lounge, you can't follow someone like Wez either when he is racing there. :confused:

but as in clean drivers dont scream n hollar over the mic and dont blast music or actually says sorry for a mistake then i can help u :] my PSN: is Burnout2C
 
I just bought my kids a PS3 and I really only like racing games. I am pretty sure I fall into the suck category and certainly in the mature category at 40+ years of age. Can anyone explain how to join a friend that is playing online? In xboxland you find their name on the fl and click join. Am I missing something? too, I would love to join up with you guys, so who should I send a friend request to? Thanks
 
This is the group, I think I've been looking for. Despite the fact I've played the game since GT1, I still can't hang with the big dogs. I'm probably a beagle at best. And at 56 years of age, I doubt if I'll get any faster. I have limited online experience, but I think I would really enjoy running with you guys. I will send a FR to Whiskey River and some others. Please add me! I would love to visit the Whiskey River Lounge.

I just happened to find this thread. I AM in tha same boat to and would love to race with you guys. You'll probably school me but I'm looking to learn and improve.

I just got a PS3 and GT5 for Christmas and it's my first every game machine. I'm using the hand controller that came with the PS3 so far but if this proves to be as much fun as I think it COULD, I will probably buy a Steering wheel someday....

You can add me to your list if I'm not too late joining in here...
 
Hey guys, I'll be on again tonight, for those that are new, your best bet to join in the fun is to add Whisky_River to your psn.. ask nice and he'll probably add you, we play in his lounge almost every night around 10pm - 1am EST.

I don't get it guys... Every time I try to race with you I get disconnected within a minute or two. This doesn't happen in other rooms, so I have to assume I am getting kicked out.

It's not like my skills are a threat, so, what gives? :grumpy: Is it just because I'm not using my mic?

In no way are we kicking you out. Not our style. We saw you and thought you left. Not sure what is wrong. Aapex doesn't have a mic, along with a few others. Let me know next time and we can maybe see what is wrong. Any suggestions, guys?

Also, stig, haven't you been able to connect before?

Okay, thanks. Yeah I've raced with you guys before, but lately I've been getting disconnected. Probably 8-10 times in a row now I'd say... Not sure what's going on. I've raced all night in other rooms without a problem... if you could call what I do "racing." Heh.
 
Yea Stig it's for sure no one booting you. I don't use a headset either and they tolerate me. Why today I even went into auto mode and had a little conversation since I was all alone on the track. I've only gotten a disconnect 4 maybe 5 times but I did encounter a couple rooms where no matter when I joined or what was going on the game would quit responding. I could hear everyone talk, saw the track change, but the cursor just wouldn't move.
 
Im a bit below average and certainly looking for someone to race. Especially when it is clean.. Promise not to bump anyone on purpose:) So please add me PSN is GTP_EG. I'll send a request when I get home from work!
 
yeah... hook me up to please...I'm also looking for clean adult racers.. I'm 52, average to intermediate level, and drive with assist off.....

Would love to get in on this too. I'm pretty average/bad not very good at all when the assists are turned off, and hoping there's an alt to waiting in a room for a race to end only to have the host change the settings to something way too hard for me to handle!

hello che I am older than you I am 56 and married and 4 kids and love to race and love this game since gt1 and 2 then 3 the 4 prologe and now gt5 I was good driver now I have to race With a lot of fastest guys in gtplanet , but never saw someone who admit that is not a good driver I am a good driver but not too fast I do a lot of mistakes sometimes but in general I am ok, Good to know you guys

I'm 51 and have played for years too. Looks like I fall into the suck category too after trying to hang with the hot shoes I've encountered from my 3 nights online. Jeez, what's with the Racing Soft on street cars? Guess I'm old school and like to drive street cars with little or no mods. Driving with real track day etiquette like on a....real track day.

Anyway, I would love to find some lounges with other mature folks. I'm EST USA. Been on after 8 pm weekdays. Not sure how the PS3 friend hookup works yet (I'll ask my 8 year old)! I don't have a mic yet either-does that matter?
Hopefully I'll meet up with you guys at the track soon.

Are there any actual scheduled race times? I am very very very bad. Horribly bad. I just want to be able to see other cars for more than the first few corners.

im an ok driver and always interested in fun, clean races with "normal" cars.
