You guys crack me up. I kept getting stupid FF cars in the shuffle races, I would have loved the Lotus. And I just stayed back in those Daytona races waiting for my chance. My sides hurt from laughing so hard.

Oh yeah, exactly what I do in the Daytona races, just let the debacle unfold in front of you with everyone else and be patient. It's madness!!
 
This sounds like I would be right along side you guys here. I am not the best, but I hardly think I am the worst out there. I too have limited time to play, with a family and work commitments.
 
Well I think I maybe the worst. Just got GT5 the other day and am still feeling my way around. I used to race Nascar2003 on the pc online, but I sucked at that as well!
I am in upstate NY and will be adding Whisky_River tonight just to see if anyone is on!

A question to you guys who are on on a regular basis. What sort of cars should I have available? I've got my favorites full and ranging from a 2CV and Beetle to the Zonda R, Minolta, FGT, Ferrari F10. I tried to make sure I had at least 1 car from each basic class or race series so I wouldn't be left out. The only thing I'm missing is an LMP like the Audi or Pug. Should I grab one of those? I'll admit my garage is mostly production cars, with quite a few hot hatches and supercars, but I've got just about every HP range covered.
 
We race anything and everything... from fully tuned to no tunes... Being that you have a good range of HP, you should be fine.. we usually go with the honesty system on restrictions for races, and if you dont have something that matches, usually something close is ok.
 
Having your own nascar and some racecars isn't a bad thing though.. we tend to use them a lot.
 
Probably a dumb question but here goes, How do I find the lobby that you guya are racing in? Do i just go to the mulitplayer section of the game and look there, or is this a private lobby?
I don't have many cars as I just started out, not even a NASCAR yet, but I am working up to it!

You need to add the psn of the guy who started this thread... check the first post out and you'll find us in his 'my lounge' almost every night.

Add Whisky_River to your friends list. We meet up in his lobby, so go to the Community tab, then select his name from your friends list, then go to the Lounge button and click on that. If people are on racing they'll show up in the participant list. Once he adds you to his friends you'll be good to go, though you might need to restart the game for his name to show up in your list of in-game friends.
 
Yeah I did the PSN thing and he has added me, so I need to go to "community" I think and check that out. I just got the game last week, so still figuring things out. Thanks for the reply!

Yes. Go to community, and find whisky in the friends list. Click on him, and then the coffee cup at the bottom. That will bring you in to where we are.
 
I've got over 900 cars and am not the greatest driver by any means. I'd like to race most or all of them at some point in time. You can add me. I run the Le Mans! Club and have races every Sat. of different cars, all assisits available. But I'd like to run with some drivers the rest of the week more my speed especially to practice my races I am running on Sat. and for another race group of more hard core rule wise I run with Sunday nights.


EDIT: Sent invites to Mercenary and Whisky. I have a 38mb connection so I can host 16 player rooms lag free. And if you guys post the room number found on the main screen, upper left, anyone can find you guys even if not on your friend's list.

Dude seems to suck at responding to PSN FR too. Mercenary_Wez responded and added me. But the dude that started the thread just erased my invite, no reason given. Since they are usually racing in his Lounge, you can't follow someone like Wez either when he is racing there. :confused:

As far as I know, Whisky's been running B-Spec races because he hasn't had much time to play, so he hasn't been on much. It could be that he erased your request by accident, he didn't know who you are and why you're sending a friend request, or his friend list was getting full and he was doing some cleaning. Could be a number of things, but I'm sure it was just a misunderstanding. Try sending another request perhaps?
