Looking for bad/average adult racers.....In other words, I suck and have for years...

What a fantastic thread! You are more than welcome to add me - I love GT5 but I consider my driving skills average at best, and to be honest, haven't ventured online much at all.
 
@Razorback: We're in the same timezone (big plus). I too have to save my gaming time until after my wife and daughter go to bed. So, I'm usually on the PS3 doing something by around 8:30 or 9PM each night until the 10-11PM time frame. It'd be nice to race with some other average drivers like myself. I do ok but I haven't broken any records. I just want to enjoy some close racing with people who can be trusted not to intentionally punt me through the turns.

Since the game is still new to me I'm trying to build a decent car stable and make progress in both A and B spec modes. So, I'm not up for online racing every night. I would be more likely to jump online knowing there were some guys I could run with though. I'm writing your PSN down to send an invite tonight. See you soon and thanks for posting.
 
Iv been looking for a group like this to start a racing league. Im wiling to host Sunday nights around 5-6pm EST.....If you guys are interested ill start a new thread for a league.
 
Too early for my schedule. If I'm on during that time on a Sunday, there's no guarantee I'll be on long depending on what's going on around the house.
 
A league sounds like fun. As for the timezone, I'm in GMT+01 but can probably make it whenever it's on.
 
Added a few people. I'm not exactly SLOW, more of an average driver. I'm looking forward for some clean racing!

Like yourself, I'm 33 with kids, and only get the chance to play late at night after everyone's asleep. Occasionally I get to play during the day, but it varies. Like you, I've been playing since GT1, but constantly find myself 3-5 secs slower than the pros, probably cuz I'm still working with a controller rather than a wheel.

I'll add ya tonight, and will look for ya online. Haven't gotten into much online racing, as I've been focusing on unlocking portions of the game, but now that xp and cr are available, I might give it a go.

Honestly didn't think that this many people would respond. I have already raced with several of you and it was a blast. The other two I run with, rpozza88 and rhino410, can be added too. Some of you also have raced with them over the last few nights. Should we make a list somewhere of all the "average" drivers?

dude, i saw you online and didnt even think of inviting you in. It was a bunch of good races (other than the nascar :ouch: ).
 
Some really good races and some fun times. Oh and Henry is a ringer. 60 golds? really dude? lol.

Have to admit that after 2 days of playing with whisky and his friends i now enjoy nascar on daytona.

60 golds aren't that hard to get... I just spent an insane amount of time repeating them until I got gold. Proven by the fact that I got 2nd to last in one race and 7th in another...

Whisky: 10 minutes til you get nascar.

I'm just joking around. After playing with you guys and knowing you all have wheels now i got the itch to buy one. Currently looking online checking the prices.

Pozza is using the $50 logitec wireless. I'm using the gt driving force. When you guys want to do 200 laps at Daytona..lol

There were some very good deals during November on the Driving Force GT and the G27. Everything is back to MSRP now so you might want to wait until after Christmas.

Nope, don't own one. I honestly didn't think i'd enjoy the game this much.
