I haven't had a change to race with you guys yet but the interest in this forum is amazing. I will create a new thread for a series. I can host Sundays around 5-6pm EST (GMT- 5:00) Since not everyone can make that time if anyone else is willing to host at different times we can have more then 1 series going. Ill post the link here once I make the thread
 
What do you consider "average"?

I've got 24 golds, 26 silver and 6 bronze, compared to most around here that makes me pretty "bad"?

I'm sure I can get some more golds but others are way out of my reach. Back in GT1 & 2 I got all golds using the controller for whatever thats worth (I know... not much).

I'm not uber fast, but I race clean (errr...as much as possible) and I like the realism of racing; not the do-what-it-takes-to-win stuff.

p/s : I try to drive as clean as i can when in races, but sometimes we tend to bump into someone else car. sorry for this to happen but i dont do it intentionally. sometimes in races accidents do happen, which is quiet normal for all.

hate those drivers going the opposite direction.
 
This is just a suggestion. But, short of a league, having a shuffle lounge can be pretty entertaining. I did it yesterday with GTP_Earth and a non-GTP friend of mine. We were wishing we had more folks in with us. GTP_Fuzzy was having trouble staying connected to the lounge or we'd have had 4 racers. Because the server assigns cars for each race, it takes the user-garage out of the equation. It makes for some very close racing with minimal administration required by host.

I've been playing since GT1 as well. . .and I still suck too :) Unless of course I'm going in a straight line, or around a circle. I can race all the tracks and have most of them memorized but online it's just never competitive...in a fun way. There is always someone with a way overpowered car or a bunch of kids fooling around.
 
i used to think i sucked until i bought a logitech driving force steering wheel.

it's a different game.

New guy here. 39 with kids on the west coast who just started playing at night after bed time. Once I get past the initial parts of the game and into the online I'll be looking for some good clean races w/out little kids.

We have had a good group lately of average racers in my lounge. We raced at daytona last night with NASCAR and had a blast. Come join us.

One quick way to determine how "bad" we all are is these darn Seasonal Challenges. I golded all from Bonus Race #1 but it took every mod and lots of tuning to do it. I'd rank them as follows from hard to easy:

1) Fiat
2) GT-R
3) RX-7
4) Challenger
5) CR-Z

Currently on the Mini race from Bonus #2 and after countless times of coming in 5th I've finally managed 3rd. Going to require more skill, luck and tuning to win but I think I can do it. I'm running with no aids and wheel for comparison.
 
I could be average:idea:. But do like to drive clean and don't really care if I win (well I try too win). Just like having fun. I'm 29 and live in Illinois(CST), work during the day and am usually available everynight 5p.m. till bedtime lol. Please add me I don't have any GT5 buds. psn id = sirdank42o
