Looking for bad/average adult racers.....In other words, I suck and have for years...

I've been playing Gt since the ps1, but for some reason I still suck!!! I'm a 36 yr old father of two that still loves racing after the kids are in bed. I have 4 close friends that I race with, but would like for us to have more to race. The problem is, we all suck to other gtplanet members standards. If we race in other rooms (other than our lounges), we either get schooled or end up frustrated at childish drivers. Is there anyone else out there that is in our shoes? Do you love the game so much, but can't run with the big dogs? If so, add me to your friends list and let's race. Seriously, We are not that good. Some of us have to you assists etc. If any of this sounds like you, Whisky_River is my psn.

Great idea, I'm lolperson. I typically drive just stock, because I like the experience of being cheap. I drive careful, but yeah I pretty much suck (I used to think I was hot stuff until I got online). I also like to drive with all assists off.

There are plenty of drivers that will help you out if there online and have the time.

Driving with good clean drivers is better for improving your lap times and learning the basics of online racing. I consistently lapped at 1:07.xxx now I can run at 1:05.xxx I also drive a lot cleaner and can run with the fast boy's... well sometimes.

There are drivers of all abilities here at the GBRC might take a few nights to get online at the same time but it's worth a shot even if it's just for 30 minutes of good close racing.

Mate, I'm right there with you....and at a guess, I'd say a bunch more like us. ;)
Thing is, I'm down in Aus.....so timing is gonna cause headaches...:lol:

I'm going to add you regardless...you never know. I do some late nights down here most weekends....:)
I've signed up a mate in Canada as well, but yet to meet online.......It WILL happen, some day.

dude sweet, someone else from Arkansas. Im more of an average driver, but I would join in some races to have some fun. I have cars in my favorites ranging from 250hp to a couple over 1000. I often change cars to be equal in races, not destroy everyone.

Might be a While before I can get Online as my PS3 is saying i'm NAT3 on my Internet Connection , and its causing no ends of Problems Staying in Lobbys

But when its sorted out i'd be happy to hang out and Race just for the Fun of it and have a laugh 👍

Your story sounds a lot like me. I'm somewhere in my later 30s, have played GT since the original, and I'm still average at best. I'm a bit of a slower racer, but I try to race as cleanly as possible. I'll send up a friend request in the next few minutes.

I too am in the same boat with the kids etc. I have been racing a while (rfactor, gtr, gt) but that doesnt mean i am very good. Add me if you are looking for a clean race. I am in canada on eastern standard time but I could be racing at anytime!
 
Well, I used to think I was pretty good. I won a couple of Kart races against people I randomly met online, and decided to meet up with a few other GTPers. I got destroyed, haha.

I am only 23, but I guess the fact that I live on my own and work 50+ hours per week makes me an adult?

Are you guys interested in setting up a racing league? Nothing too serious or crazy, but maybe a set time every week where people can just meet up and get some races going for fun/cash/xp?

We could call it scrub league or something haha.

I'll race ya, I'm a 34 yearold who isn't very good either. I can make it around most tracks staying oncourse though.

I'd like to join this, if it's alright. Don't let the GTP_ prefix in my PSN ID bully you into thinking I'm awesome, because I'm not. I used to be alright in GT4, even made it to a UK GTP championship competition thingie, but most of my driving was done under the influence of UK beer and some cider.

I tend to race mostly stock cars in the 150-350hp, preferably RWD and just spin out every now and then. Other than that, a few sub-215hp FWD cars. I haven't really tried any more cars because I don't have that much time. I'm on mostly nights, my time, which coincide with most US nights as well. I'm also not a kid, so it's not like I'll get better with time... I suck already and have little hope of improving.
 
I would also be interested in getting together. I don't have a lot of time either with family and work but do enjoy some good clean racing. I qualified for GTP with a level 4 gold but never had the time to actually try an event.
