Lotus Evora download availabe soon?

Just thought I'd let you all know that in todays copy of Autocar magazine on page 18 it says....

"Lotus's new Evora is already available to drive - on a Playstation3, at least. The car features in a demo of Gran Turismo 5:Prologue and will soon be available to existing players through an online update."


Interesting eh? I'm thinking we may well have an update sooner than we think.

We can all live in hope.

In the 'new gear' section they also have a review of iracing.com which they gave 4.5 out of 5 marks for and also the Logitech Driving Force GT steering wheel which they gave 4/5 for.
 
Wow, I look forward to it. I've been a fan of Lotus since I was a kid. I don't think the Evora will replace the Elise as my personal favorite, but it is going to be interesting to see how it works it's way around the track!
 
The fall/autumn update perhaps? Maybe it will become Spec 3 then and maybe we'll get those Peugeots too.

hmmm,im sure they won't put only one car in the "big fall update"...this is interesting indeed...:)

Lotus Evora...it'll be intresting to see what this car is really like. I like the Elise quite alot and I'll want an extra car added into the game.
 
I believe a new spec update is very soon if you ask why because as you can see that after the august update game intro movie has been changed and its obviously a jaguar advertisement. Jaguar should have paid for that and it can not stay there for a long time. I dont know if someone did mention that before but I think so.

I Agree, the Evora is a good looking piece of machinery, but the Exige would blow it away speed wise.

Actually, recently theyve been making a profit under Tata Motors, theres even a rumour theyre thinking of entering Le Mans with an LMP1 car.
Methinks they have money to spend. ;)

When you say the intro was changed was that in the last update?.... because I haven't updated yet, plus I have the JPN version... does that also change?

When you first update GT5P with the new update, it shows a new intro for my page, with a Jaguar XK in a black and white warehouse along with whatever car you have selected.
It doesnt happen again though, only the first time you play with the update.

No Silk Cut Jags unfortunately...no tobacco sponsorship :(
I sort of wish it was TWR handling the team though, Apex haven't impressed so far in the GT3 championship with that XKR.
 
Yeah, Tata are rubbish, but it seems they are working Jaguar 10 times better than Ford ever did.

Thanks.... Ive have to get that download going sometime, maybe when I have 3 hours to spend knowing the download times! :sick:

I think that might be a sneek preview to the long rumored multiple car scenes on the 'home' page which have been seen in many screen shots and that is expected to come in a future update.....

Yeah the lack of tobacco sponsorship sucks in a way because some of the most famous liveries were tobacco related and looked really good.... (Jonny Player etc..) but hey if it stops kids smoking its a small price to pay. They could still use the colour schemes though.

I wondered what happened to that new intro from the update. Would've been cool to have been able to keep it.
 
when i start my gtp game,i still have the black jag showing up...am i missing something???
do you guys have got the old start movie again??...

Happens to be there everytime I load GT5p, the Jag changes to your current car then after a while ...
Enable intro-movie (or however... the 2nd thing in demo options) :)
 
May i just note to those saying they want the Exige, isnt the 111R/Tuned a solution to that already?

As for the Evora verses Exige...I'll have the Exige, I've got a mag with this insane black Exige in it, and since reading the article its one of my favorites, espically when it comes to Driving it on tracks in GT, I can't even imagine London!! It would pull 48 Second laps I reckon, totally rebuilt from the ground up for track racing.👍

As far as the intro goes, I got it when I first downloaded the updade, and a few times after, but it no longer appears? I don't get the original intro movie though.

Hmm...check your Game settings, it might have been disabled or something?:odd:
