Ok sweet!:D

I really would prefer more tracks instead of a couple of new cars. But that Evora does look great! Perhaps the Big Three here in America need to hire away some of Lotus' designers...

When you first update GT5P with the new update, it shows a new intro for my page, with a Jaguar XK in a black and white warehouse along with whatever car you have selected.
It doesnt happen again though, only the first time you play with the update.

Really? The new intro with the Jag plays almost every time I start up the game.

My thoughts exactly. I don't want no Lotus - fix online, give us private lobbies and... Nurburgring. Is that too much to ask, PD?

I was suggesting nurburgring for Autumn in a couple of threads, but the more I think about it, the less I think it's going to happen.

Huh???:odd:
I get it all the time" I've got the Aus PAL version, but I dont think that would make any difference??
...I'm no big fan of Jag's sorry.:indiff:
As for the Evora verses Exige...I'll have the Exige, I've got a mag with this insane black Exige in it, and since reading the article its one of my favorites, espically when it comes to Driving it on tracks in GT, I can't even imagine London!! It would pull 48 Second laps I reckon, totally rebuilt from the ground up for track racing.👍
Look it up in Google image search, you wont be sorry:D

This black Exige?...

EDIT: Appologies for double post. In a hurry to get the black Exige in for Rusty.

I know, I don't think it will be included into GT5P at all to be honest. If they would give us all we want in GT5 Prologue who will buy full GT5 (except me). I mean it is good to have dreams, isn't. I would be happy with good online penalty system, private lobbies in GT5P and then quick release of full GT5 (not 2010 :nervous:)

A Real decent online penalty system and lobbies are a must have. Rally cars and a rally track or two would be good too.

I think they should rather concentrate on road races than offroad ones. Having said that, I think there would be no rally events in full GT5. I think they will include drift events (and maybe F1) instead, but that's just my guessing.

when will Toyota be included or have i missed something

Lexus is Toyota.

Codemasters have the F1 licence now, so I don't think we will get real F1 cars exept the F2007. Rallying has played a main part in the GT series, so I can't see that being left out of GT5.

Lexus is the luxury division of Toyota, that's about it. Definitely not the same as Toyota. There are some Toyota's designed for performance specifically, most (read most, not all) Lexus' are designed for luxury, but there is no equivalent to the MR2 in Lexus, or a Supra in Lexus. So, no we don't really have Toyota's yet.

Yes but Lexus is still Toyota. A modified Toyota on the other hand, is completly different, such as - Castrol Toms or Denso Sard. The question was why aren't Toyota in GT5p, they are, in the form of Lexus. The Modified versions are yet to come.

Wow, I must be tired, I just read this read this thread as 'Eva Longoria download availabe soon?'. On the Toyota/Lexus chat, my mother has an Toyota Soarer 2.5TT, which is badged as a Toyota, whereas the same car with a v8 lump in is badged as a Lexus. Virtually the same car bar the engine, same company!

But we don't have the Soarer... We have no Toyota cars, we have Lexus specific cars.

For example we can label the Acura NSX a Honda as Honda made the same car, we can't label the IS-F a Toyota as such because only Lexus make it. Otherwise we already have Chrysler because we have Mercedes (Daimler-Chrysler parent company), and we have every manufacturer in the Ford group because we have Ford, you get the idea.

Daimler and Chrysler parted company over a year ago.

Scaff

Sorry, I know I'm going off topic with this but Wikipedia quotes 'Lexus is the luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation.' A division. Toyota is not a parent company.

On topic - Does anybody else think that Lotus have blatantly ripped off styling cues from the Enzo?

It's great that the Evora will make it into the game, I really would love to see the Lotus 2-Eleven make it into GT5P. That would be awesome.

Considering the current version of the Elise was available 2 years before the Enzo, I'm going to say no.

^Erm...I dont see much resemblance at all:

Thanks for clearing that one up, however I was talking about the Evora :sly:
I thought about that after I posted and was like "Oh duh" :(

Still, I thought about that as well and have to agree with Ardius. Little to no resemblance. I do see the line you were referring to in the doors, but in terms of bogarting designs, I think Lotus is a VERY minor offender in this case.

Yeah, perhaps 'blatant' was a tad strong :dopey: Just the first time I saw it, it immediately set me in mind of the Enzo. Apparently the cues hark back to the Esprit?

I do see some of the new noble in the front...

noble-m15-2-l.jpg

...and maybe some 360 in the intakes...

...oddly, no Esprit :( The Esprit was so angular and wedged in its shape.

Toyota Soarer and Lexus SC300/400 is the EXACT same car with the only difference being that the SC is left hand drive, the Soarer, right hand drive.
As for the Lotus, cant wait to test drive it :D. And they may as well put the Exige too in the update, who knows...

Quick question:
How do you guys know if the Exige will be faster than the Evora?
