Ah, yes. The NCAA Tournament is upon us. It doesn't really do anything for me, but it does for most other sports fans.

I'm not a big basketballer either, but I heard there is this team ... Ohio State, who has made the cut. :D

I highly doubt if they can make it to the end of the Tournament to square of against one of the big boys. But here's to the Basketball Bucks. :cheers:.

GOOD LUCK BUCKEYES !!!

My girlfriend went to Miami for her undergrad, so I hope they do well.

I love the pic of UNC getting balled on.

Well see how Duke fares.

The officials clearly want Southern to win.

When I picked South Dakota State, I was kinda hoping Michigan would miss like one 3 at some point... :banghead:

Florida Gulf Coast just played the best 5 minutes of basketball I've seen all year. I know teams like this don't advance very far, but I hope they do and forgive them for ruining my bracket (Georgetown was my winner) because of what I just saw.

So far, the only #1 I know of that has swooned was Gonzaga, as Wichita State took them down. Or as I would post on GTP:

DOWN GOES GONZAGA!

I knew the boys from [the state of] Washington would be the most vulnerable #1 seed. All the Shockers did was 86 Gonzaga out of the tournament. Tough break for the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Only other surprise I noted was Harvard beating New Mexico.

If you're talking about the first round, you had Florida Gulf Coast, all the 12 seeds except one winning, La Salle, Minnesota.. It went on and on.

FGCU is a cool place. I went to a quizbowl tourney up there. Only school I've been to that's on the beach and has fighter jets buzzing the skies.

Duke outlasted Creighton, so we went farther in the Big Dance than Carolina. As well as beating them twice in the regular season. Good year, everything else is gravy.

Comer from FGCU is like a mini-Eminem.

Enjoy the Sweet Sixteen, and good luck to all remaining teams.

I'll be happy if either Gulf Coast or Duke wins. If both lose, I won't be a happy camper.

I honestly expected MSU to tear us to pieces, this is a nice surprise. Now the bad thoughts of Siva and Smith slashing to the basket and Dieng dominating Plumlee are here.

Currently in attendance at the CIT Final Four, where my Pirates (see avatar) are up 17-8. We're winning with offense though, so don't be surprised if you see a change.

Ended up winning by about 25, will face Weber State or Northern Iowa in the final. It was a dunk fest, good to watch.

Battle of the purple schools. I found out East Carolina hammered Evansville. I think the Pirates won 83-50 over the Purple Aces of the University of Evansville. Congrats to ECU.

Half of the men's NCAA D1 Final Four is set- Syracuse vs. Wichita State. What will be the other half?

* Michigan vs. Florida
* Duke vs. Louisville

Good luck to all four survivors.

Louisville's player (Kevin Ware) just broke his leg in at least 3 places. That looked at least 5 times worse than Lattimore's injury.

God...

I don't know who's going to win, but I'd be okay if Louisville wins (coming from a Duke fan) for Ware. That was absolutely gruesome...

This is surreal. I've never seen a building that quiet.

That was a horrible injury to watch. I had to rewind it just to make sure I saw that right and legs just shouldn't go that way.

Well the knee bent the wrong way. And then the shin broke in a different but equally wrong way.

The only way we win is if Siva, Smith and Dieng foul out soon. This really isn't fun to watch.

Oh well, so much for O.S.U. winning it all. They had a good run at it, proud of them that they made it that far. Good job Bucks. 👍

Good luck to the remaining teams.

The bone went through the skin too! It was sticking about 4 inches out. :eek: The picture of it is so gross, but I can't stop looking at it.

I'm never jumping 1 inch in the air again. :sick:

I know people probably couldn't care less about women's hoops, but in discussing March Madness, it also includes the women's game. I was very stunned Louisville took down Baylor 82-81. Brittney Griner's career in college is over. Male or female, B. Griner is one of the finest basketball talents of any kind playing today.

Of equal consideration Elena Delle Donne of the University of Delaware. She also put in a solid career playing for the University of Delaware.

That said... back to the Men's March Madness. Bring on Atlanta. We got:

* Louisville vs. Wichita State
* Michigan vs. Syracuse

Four will compete, only two will advance. This is the pinnacle of college basketball. This is the measuring stick of college hoops acumen. Going to be one heck of a weekend.

If you want March Madness, check the highlights of the ending of the ECU game. Props to my boys for winning that championship, with an awesome buzzer beater to boot.

Woohoo!!

That shot has to be #1 on SportsCenter tomorrow, it was a contested 30 footer that didn't even touch the rim.

Well... this is it. It is the Final Four in Atlanta to determine the NCAA Division 1 Men's National Championship. Michigan, Louisville, Syracuse, and Wichita State are the four survivors of this season's tourney. Here are the matches:

* Louisville vs. Wichita State
* Michigan vs. Syracuse

The winners will play on Monday night for the championship. The losers will have to try again next season. More than ever- good luck to all four remaining schools.

Not to be outdone, the Women's NCAA D1 Final Four will tip off in New Orleans on Sunday night. The winners of these two games will play for the championship this Tuesday night. The women's Final Four looks like this:

* Louisville vs. California
* Connecticut vs. Notre Dame

Good luck to these four as well.

The men's National Championship game for Monday Night is set! Here you go:

* #4 Michigan vs. #1 Louisville

It's Big Ten vs. Big East in Atlanta for the National Championship in NCAA D1 Men's basketball. I saw most of the Wichita State vs. Louisville match. Louisville was a brick factory for the early part of the game. However, Louisville got hot as they were starting to bank in shots. It was 72-68 as I recall from that game. I saw mostly the second half of the Michigan vs. Syracuse game as I was mostly watching AMA Supercross here in Houston. Tip off of this game comes your way 9:23 PM tomorrow evening.

Don't forget- tonight is the NCAA D1 Women's Final Four in New Orleans. It would be interesting if Louisville made the National Championship game on the women's side. I think it was UConn back in the mid-2000s when one school won the Men's and Women's championship in the same season on the D1 level.

The season ends this week.

Not that I follow B-ball any, because I simply don't, but I'd like to see Michigan win it. Only because they are in the B1G Conference.

Oh my God, I'm rooting for Michigan ...... :lol:

Good luck to both teams, really.

Louisville. Because lulville.

Louisville vs. Connecticut in New Orleans for the NCAA D1 Women's National Championship. Or just call it what it is- a glorified Big East championship game.

Michigan vs. Louisville for the Men's championship in Atlanta later tonight (since it's Monday here in Houston as of this post). Louisville could chase history if they win and if the women win tomorrow night.

Regardless of who wins, good luck to all.

Louisville 82 - Michigan 76.

Tull yull it'd be Lullvull.

Louisville may win BOTH the men's and women's titles if the Lady Cardinals can knock off UConn tonight in New Orleans. This one is basically a glorified Big East championship game. Good luck to both teams. May the better team win.

UConn eviscerates Louisville 93-60.
