Edit:And he's playing GT5.What is he driving??

I think he's driving an F1 car, it's pretty fast whatever it is.

EDIT: He said he did a 2:04 around Nurburgring, which he also said is pretty unrealistic. Not sure of he was just driving the GP circuit or the whole track. Or maybe he means a 2:04 is extremely slow and therefore unrealistic.

He meant that's unrealistic to drive around the circuit so quickly, but I think he had no idea what he was actually driving. After all, Vettel did this promotion (X2010 in GT5) and not Webber.

Yup, X2010. I was working in the Red Bull tent at the weekend:

Webber went slower than the Trackmania world champ in the head-to-head, Seb went a little quicker.

He said 1:04 around the 'Ring, and they were pretty clearly running the GP circuit. Nice to see even a pro having trouble with the X2010.

Lol! He called GT5 a toy! Oh God the hardcore GT5 fanatics probably hate him right now!

Truth hurts.

And he is an F1 driver, so they get the best of the best simulator wise (rFactor Pro I believe)

I was quite impressed with Webber as it was his first time playing it given the car is also quite sensitive.

Vettel called it "the best game you can buy." Truth hurts? Not at all ;)

Again, he called the X2010/11 a toy, not GT5. Calm down boys :p

So is Webber, it is a Red Bull event, with three different racing games.

Nope! Webber has no contractual obligations to GT5, only Vettel. Teams, brands and drivers have independent contracts so the fact that Vettel is on GT5 doesn't mean that Webber is tied to the game. His name is nowhere to be found in the game wich means he didn't get paid and is free to speak his mind freely.

He is a Red Bull driver, he called Adrian Newey's and PD's creation a toy pretty much. I agree with him in two points about the car, it is not been made yet and so far is in like toy form, plus for a human in real life I don't think anyone could withstand the G's but if it was scaled back the cornering G's with a low downforce setup, it could be a realistic car although it will be a bit slower. He did say there some amazing games out there these days ;).

I don't think they use something as primitive as a PC racing sim. As I recall, they use multi-million-dollar custom-built simulators, complete with giant cockpits that move around to simulate G-forces.

Being on the payroll aside, "best game you can buy" can mean different things. Clearly it doesn't mean "best simulation" since there are better on PC. If he's talking about just console racing games, he could mean in regard to the driving physics, as clearly GT falls short of Forza in other areas and as a total package. Either way, when people are involved with something, they're going to hype it up. For example, if you have a Sprint Cup driver who previous did F1 or V8 Supercars, as an example, they will never get in front of a camera and say anything suggesting that it's in any way easier than what they did in the past. If a Cup driver goes to Indy, then suddenly Indy will be the most challenging thing they've done, according to their interviews. Whatever they do, that's the most extreme that there is.

Actually many F1 teams work closely with ISI and use rFactor Pro as their platform. All the big dollars go into developing it.

Couldn't have said it better!

If you remember from the GT TV feature, when they were building the 1:1 model of the X2010 in the Red Bull shop, Webber walked through and had a wuh-tuh-fuh look on his face that was absolutely priceless.

Most likely thinking "ya I could flip this one to"
