Marketplace Error

Hello,

I've been busy with work and spending summerholiday elsewhere and I haven't touch on Xbox for about 3 months. I can see there's several interesting carpacks for Forza 4 I'd like to buy and download but I get - topic name - error everytime I try to seek new stuff in-game Forza 4 Marketplace:
"Marketplace error
Failed to download required marketplace data. Please try again later."

Latest available carpack I can see (with purchased tag on it) is 2013 SRT Viper Pack.

Similar warning message happened occasionally in spring also but it eventually load correct car packs. Now it doesn't.

What's going on?

I get these alot also. I usually just have to re-enter the marketplace one or two times and it will download correctly and the new car packs will show up.

I have yet to figure out why it happens.

I am having the same problem with the Marketplace,I've tried for nearly 2weeks downloading cars pack I've already purchased, but no matter what I try I have just hit a brick wall everytime.

I have been in touch with Forza and this is what they said "Thank you for contacting Turn 10 Studios. Due to the volume of mail we receive, we cannot individually respond to all e-mails sent to us. If you have a question about a Xbox LIVE or Forza Motorsport Terms of Service, please see the following links:" what a waste of time their a big help!!

As annoying as that is, they do currently have 2,800,000+ players (counting only those with a Live subscription) so you can imagine the volume of calls and emails they receive

Try downloading from the dashboard marketplace

I,ve tried that and I am getting now where,as it seems there's no solution to this problem.

I've purchased 3 packs with my hard earned coins and I have yet to get a single car. I could be spending my coins on Madden Ultimate Team, but NOOOOO....I decide dedicate them to my similar Forza 3 pursuit of cool cars. But I'm about done with this scam. I'm not purchasing another pack until I get at least 1 of my previous 3 purchases. This is unacceptable, considering the fact that we have no way to get any traction on Forza returning our coins. Get this fixed NOW.

You have to buy the car in game. They don't give it to you for 0 crediits.

When downloading from the in game marketplace, you need to let the download finish before moving on to the next one (i.e leave the dashboard up). If you don't the download stops and needs to be restarted.

Also, you need to use your own in game credits to buy the cars from their respective dealers. (as is noted in the DLC description)

Thanks, but I've never left the download screen before the download is finished. Also, I've downloaded several times. I get 100% download, and download completed to be sure. Then I select "continue".

I'm not sure what you mean. I'm trying to purchase Forza Monthly Car Packs, like the Sept Penzoil pack. I'm using coins as requested by the DLC.

Appreciate the response though.

You didn't by 560 car tokens to try an buy the DLC packs?

After the download have you checked for the cars in your my cars or buy cars section
in the game you have to buy the cars with the money you made by racing you do not get the cars in you garege after the download you have to buy the cars from the dealers in the game such as Ford VW TVR the downloaded cars will be there

Guys thanks everyone. I'm not sure we're on the same page though. I'm attempting to buy DLC Monthly Car Packs. I'm using same methods as I did with the many packs I've purchased in Forza 3.

I am not asking about buying cars with tokens or credits in the "Buy Cars" mention. But I get the "failure to connect" error there also...after the car download process completes.

Basically, I think I'm one of many reporting this MarketPlace error when buying DLC carpacks. If you're offering the normal steps to purchase carpacks, keep in mind that I'm aware of the normal steps. Whats needed is the "fix" to the error many are reporting.

Perhaps you should just download from the dashboard.

The market place connection failures are fairly common.
