Not the Yankees - they go the World Series every year, stuff like that never happens to them.

By the way, a bit of kickass trivia - In 1997, the Marlins acquired Colorado Rockies utility infielder Craig Counsell midyear, and he started for the Marlins from time to time - when the Marlins won the World Series in 1997, it was a Counsell sacrifice fly that forced the game into extra innings. Then, in the bottom of the eleventh, it was a Craig Counsell run that won the game for the Marlins.
At the beginning of this season, the Marlins acquired Juan Pierre from the Colorado Rockies - in this World Series, he batted .377 with 3 steals, 7 walks, 2 triples, 4 doubles, and 12 runs. He only struck out twice, both times this game (one on a foul 2-strike bunt) - in fact, he had the third-best Marlins World Series batting average.
Meanwhile, the Rockies finished 80-82, slightly defeating their '02 and '01 record of 79-83. Lesson: ex-Rockies win the World Series. Current Rockies suck.
