I have seen a league race that doesn’t allow matte paint, I wonder if this has something to do with it.
I cant test as my ps4 is maxxed out for harddrive space but if you able test it out as in the video and see if it works .

I’m gonna see if I have the right paint colour, he said it only works with Matte P8, if I have it I’ll definitely do some testing to confirm.

Maybe that's why this Lamborghini GT3 was way faster on the straights than me(in an RC F) this morning.

Was it Matte P8(Pink)?

Edit: I have the colour, testing now.

Edit 2: Test #1, McLaren GTR, SSRX, no change in top speed with body and wheels painted Matte P8.

Edit 3: Test #2, Mini Cooper ‘S’ ‘65, SSRX, no change in top speed with body and wheels painted Matte P8.

I dont have gts loaded on my ps4 so i cant test this , but this person is saying if you do what he does your car will go faster on track .

No.

I'm doing something else right now for a GTP article, so I just happen to be testing car speeds at SSRX. I'm measuring two of the four straight sectors and the top speed. I was testing the Mustang Gr.4, on circuit BOP (not oval BOP), so when I was done I hopped out, painted it P8 Matte and went back to do the same test.

Mustang Gr.4, standard paint:
Top Speed - 171mph
S1 - 1'06.926
S2 - 1'05.925
S4 - 1'06.220
S5 - 1'06.218

Mustang Gr.4, P8 Matte
Top Speed - 171mph
S1 - 1'06.928
S2 - 1'05.924
S4 - 1'06.220
S5 - 1'06.219

That's 0mph faster and 0.002s slower over 20km (each straight sector is 10km) for the P8 Matte car, equating to a 0.001mph difference at over 168mph, and thus of no statistical significance.

Or "tripe".

The only way that the color would affect car physics was if a developer introduced it intentionally (like an easter egg), but I find that hardly believable since they want GTS to be considered a serious racing simulator.

Test #3, Same car as the video, Toyota TS050, SSRX, No change it top speed with car and wheels painted Matte P8.

Can you test if a car painted half black, half white (on opposite sides) turns better on ovals? :D

Yes matte pink makes your car faster. Also When you drive with low beam lights your car will be faster. Also Drive from bumper camera. It always gives you +5mph more top speed.

No. It was the standard livery. Think that's a matte green. :sly:

Does this YouTuber also crap glitter? Must do going off of these claims. How much do matte racing stripes add to your speed?

Can you test it with red paint? I hear its faster

I thought it was stripes that make a car go faster.
