for all stars and like the wind, which is the best

quickest? best handling? your favourite?

i don't care about value for money, these seasonal events have got me swimming in it :)

thanks

I'd go with the 787b instead of the 908 just from personal preferences but both are way better then the Corvette. Also only the 908 is an LMP, the 787b is a Group C car.

You can win the All star race/championship with RM Vette, but it'll be pretty challenging....in my case it was the only option as I had no faster car available..

908 will be a breeze...

Win Like the Wind with a Nascar, then you will be given the Toyota Minolta 88C which you can take Allstars with.

I get with my 908, 922hp, pre installed setup, with both engine and rigidity in bad shape, the following times: 30,5 to 31,1 sec at Like The Wind
My 787b Mazda Stealth, pre installed setup, with 927hp and great engine and rigidity (it just costs 500 cr every time) I get 30.9 to 31.5 sec.

So I guess the 908 is better, heavier, yes, but with better aerodynamics and suspension.

As a diesel engine, the 908 should be also better for the endurance races aswell.
But the Mazda feels much more stable at high speed, over- and understeer are exactly at the perfect middle on the Indy high speed track. The 908 always feels a little too optimistic, you can easily loose some 00.X with oversteer at the end of the long corners and when getting her back in a strate line. Also it's harder for me to directly hit that one perfect hot spot of every corner. So in fact it's easier to get a 30.9 almost always with a Mazda then a 30.5 with the 908.

edit: need to back check my times. 30 sec not currect. I think it was 40 sec.

The RM 'Vette is not the easiest choice for this. I tried and really lacked the acceleration of the other cars in the race. It was a difficult win. I did it again with the Audi R10 stealth (No tuning necessary) and it was fair competition.

thanks guys, i am going to back up my save before i buy anyway just in case i have a change of heart, but looks like i'm going to go for the Mazda 787B

I won all but one the GT All Stars race with a RM ZR1 beating a 787B, Bentley Speed 8 and Sauber C9. Just shows how awful the AI are, I only lost the last race at Tokyo R246.

Im gonna say...... Toyota GT-One. For a couple of reasons. Its cheaper than the 787B and the 908. It laps Indy quicker than the Minolta and on complex tracks its more stable round the corners than the 787B. Only problem is its standard compared to the other 2 being premium.

It's definitely not 30sec, X2010 gets about 30-32sec a lap. Even 40sec is very good for a 908 or 787b.

Personally I have been disappointed with the 908, it's just not as fast as I was expecting. The earlier LMP cars R8 & Pescaro Hybrid are much faster, and so is the Toyota GT1. I'm thinking a 787b might actually be your best option.

The 908. I find it better then the 787 by a sizable margin. The 787 is a fantastic car, but I think the 908 is the fastest car in the game after the x2010 and FGT.

Formula GT :) ! I would say the Peugeot as it has a bit more power & waay more torque in it's turbo diesel than the Mazda's Wankel!

I used the 787 for both events 1st time round. If you do like the wind 1st you'll get the minolta as a prize cat which will make gt all stars much easier.
