So claims a disgraced former employee, the guy who was not only caught illegally giving away Ferrari data, but is likely facing some downtime in an Italian jail... that's not what I call a credible source.

The FIA won't care about that, mind you, as they really are "Ferrari International Assistance" :|

I'm not even remotely a Ferrari fan, and yet I find all these FIA = Ferrari references to not only be tiresome, but take unfounded exaggeration to new heights, and requires one to ignore all the times Ferrari and their drivers have been severely punished for breaking the rules to even find a shred of truth in it.

There's no proof either. No emails, nothing concrete - only Stepney's word.

I'm sure Raikkonen and Massa could tell when they were running 20th and 21st behind the Safety Car in Fuji - because the FIA message didn't get through to them.

Just when you thought it was safe to look at the legal side again...

Pedro de la Rosa met an Italian magistrate on Tuesday in connection with Ferrari's ongoing legal case against Nigel Stepney.

The McLaren-Mercedes test driver met with Giuseppe Tibis to discuss proceedings against Ferrari's former head of performance development, whose actions were alleged to have triggered Formula One's 'spy' scandal.

Stepney is alleged to have passed secret Ferrari information on to suspended McLaren chief designer Mike Coughlan, with the FIA's World Motor Sport Council eventually finding the latter's team guilty of "fraudulent conduct" last month.

As punishment, McLaren were stripped of their points in the constructors' championship and also fined $100 million.

Emails sent by de la Rosa and his countryman and McLaren team-mate Fernando Alonso were submitted as evidence to the FIA hearing.

Tibis also interviewed Alonso earlier in October.
