OP=Opening post. The first post in a thread.

IBTL=In Before Thread Lock. When it look as if a post if about to get closed by a moderator, some people will post "IBTL" or some other hackneyed comment. This is seriously frowned upon here, and could pontentially get you banned from posting anymore.

I never said OP was in the list, and it was answered in this thread anyway, but you could post it there so it gets added.

That thread is GTP TLA's though, while OP can be found on most any discussion forum. In fact, from that thread:

I’m willing to maintain this list but I only expect to see additions to the list if it is used regularly within this GTP community. So don’t quote your dictionary to include all the TLA’s you can find in there, limit it to “GTP talk” oh .... and keep it clean.

PEOPLE: Please read the part I quoted above. It is fundamental to the point of this thread.
