7:42 AM on Christmas day. The heck with sleeping in, I'm ready for some GT4 racing while I wait for my parents to wake up!
I won't open presents until later, but my parents always get anything I need without waiting for Christmas just because it's that time of year. Yesterday we were looking for an Action Replay Max and PS2 Memory card adapter at Circuit City (Which we found, and I finally figured out with the PS2, PS3 and GT4 game save = More GT4 Photo updates from me). While we were there they told me to go away while they bought me one more last minute gift, so I check the PS2 section and see GT4 greatest hits. It finally occurred to me that it would be nice to have a second (much cooler) version of GT4 handy, just because I couldn't last very long if something happened to the other one. Then my mom just happens to see PGR4 lying somewhere. I tell her I would love the game, but honestly will not play it any time in the near future. Honestly switching to XBOX 360 + No wheel + Entirely different game than GT4 + Not as much fun as GT4 + Having to readjust to GT4 when I inevitably get bored = Not something I"m going to pop in and start racing. Still, it is something I want to have. The PGR4 pics I've seen are stunning.
Also, my Grandparents gave us $1000 to spend on a new laptop for me. My dad picked one out at Best Buy and I'm going to open it today. He also tried to get his hands on cheap versions of Photoshop CS3, 3DS Max, and Finale Songwriter (already kinda cheap). I don't know what he managed to find, and honestly it's not a big deal if he didn't get all of them, or any of them for that matter. A new laptop is a lot.
Otherwise it's tough for my parents because I already have a lot and they still want to get me something great. There's very little that I actually need, so I really appreciate it when they manage to pull great presents out every year. It makes me feel a little spoiled actually, especially since they don't ever want anything (and I can't really get them more than a card).
Well, Merry Christmas again! And, because I'm lazy, Happy New Year as well!
