I haven't touched them. Still haven't completed #7 yet, either. Playing as Wolfie will be hilarious . Sam I'm not too fussed over.

I liked it. It is short, yeah, especially once you clear what you think is the halfway mark (those who've beat it know what I mean), but it actually works in its favour, I find. I've been able to replay it a few times now because I can breeze through, so I feel less need to cherry-pick which parts I want to play (like MGS4), since I know I can get there easily enough.

Okay, yep, those last few missions are stupidly hard. Nevermind getting gold, just finishing them is borderline psychotic. The plain kill one has a one-hit kill clause attached to it. I only saw the second round with the Mastiffs, one of which appeared beside me and immediately drop-kicked me... to death.

The Zandatsu one is nearly as awful since you're expected to do it to every single enemy, when they travel in packs protecting the Fenrirs.

At least I golded the final sneaking one, thanks to some trial and error. 13 seconds! :D

Least I'm not the only one who is overly frustrated with those missions except for 20.

Anyways, I'm still excited for the Samuel Rodrigues and Bladewolf DLC back-stories.

I have a feeling I may have to wait for the HF Longsword to become DLC. I can go through the campaign pretty easily, but I can't even get an A on VR mission 4.

Fun Fact: If the slashing quick time evens seem familiar, there's good reason. Revengence was developed by Platinum Games which is the phoenix studio of Clover Studios which made Okami. And there is definitely some of Okami in this game.

Funner fact: It's been said this game was developed by PG on the first post.

and many posts after that.

and manyer posts after those.

and manyerererer posts after all of those.

Fun Fact: This is the gaming community. You expect gamers to actually read the first post....or any posts on anything other than the last page? If so, then you're not a real gamer.

Fun Fact 2: Gamers are jerks most of the time. People say the furry community is bad, but....that's like comparing hippies to soldiers. Both can be jerks, but soldiers are usually more so.

I expect people to read things before hastily coming into a thread and regurgitating information that practically every person in this thread is already well aware of.

That last bit is daft. Can you please make a sliver of effort to post something coherent?

Again, absolutely no sense and completely daft. :odd:

Yes, don't read the first post, or any other post for that matter, which usually provides information and just repeat anything that's already been said, saider and saidererer like it's new. You do that.

Oh yes, compare Metal Gear Rising: Revengance to furries. It's a very logical and understandable comparison.

Fun fact about that sentence above: I was being sarcastic.

I would like to see a sequel to Revengeance, but it's better for Kojima to work on Phantom Pain right now.

Even if Platinum Games worked on the sequel, and Konami simply published it, I would be more than happy. They did a pretty good job the first time around and saved Kojima's *** for not having to cancel a Metal Gear game. All that Kojima would really have to do is to provide a story for P* to simply take off and run.

Does anyone know if it's worth getting this for PC, or for PS3? I'm a huge MGS fan and I'm a bit disappointed that I have let this game slip for all this years. I know the PC version has quite ridiculously high requirements, but is it worth it? Will it perform better than the PS3 version?

Never tried it on PS3 but I have the PC version. I don't know a lot about Metal Gear but Revengeance is a very good spin-off. The spectacle fighting is one of the best I've seen recently. Though there are moments where the mechanic gets annoying but most of the time it's fluid and flows well. It's worth putting time into.
