Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Looks like we'll be fighting Metal Gear RAY at some point. Wait a second, the guy with the red blade, his face looks like Snake's. Could it be...?
 
He doesn't look much like Snake, it's likely someone completely new who has a ridiculously tenuous link to another character in the game, my guess is he's Vulcan Raven's uncle's friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's best friend whose dog was killed by a tiny piece of shrapnel from when Big Shell was destroyed and he held a deep hatred for floppy haired, whiny, androgynous 'heroes' ever since, and the rage built up inside him and that's why his sword is red.

I would probably be a lot more hyped for this game had it not changed as dramatically as it appears to have, and the mechanical design is clearly not by the same people. That Crying Wolf-alike with the chainsaw tail... Kojima Productions would've come up with something a bit better than that I think. I will, of course, eat these words when it turns out that the mechanical design team are on loan from KojiPro.

Vanquish is a very good action title. Very short too, but I really enjoyed it. Platinum Games make nice games, with Bayonetta, Vanquish & Max Anarchy, I'm not too fond of their character designs though.
 
I just played the demo of this. I liked it and will buy it. :)
 
I wonder what the PAL boxart would be...

You all might like to know the demo is out right now!

Downloads are soo bloody slow on PSN here in Aus (At least for me) so will probably be another couple of days before I can give it a shot.
 
You can just feel the anime vibes exuding from this title.

And I ain't complaining.
 
Its not the same no more. That metal gear is far from original. But I heard it was made by a different company. I'm waiting for rumored Metal gear 5 which I heard its not gonna be called that. I forgot the actually name. I think they also said it takes place after peace walker.
 
All of these teaser videos are annoying. Release the game already! :dopey:

It's not even intended to be the same. It's a spin-off franchise, based around action. The game doesn't even have "Solid" in the title. It's a new Metal Gear related franchise.

And yes, it was developed by a seprate company in conjuction with KojiPro; Platinum Games. Former Capcom employees who created amazing games such as Bayonetta, and Vanquish.

And they have already showed Metal Gear Solid V teasers. Search for "The Phantom Pain", and "Ground Zeroes" for additional information.

They could have thought of a better name for it. Like raiden or raven whatever his name is vengence. Sorry I'm just not a fan of this type of game. Just my opinion not trying to shoot down people of buying it. Like you said it was developed by capcom workers, now I see where it gets it Dmc fighting style from. Also I don't like dmc, not a major change to it. But its way different in many aspects. The way donte personality is different now not for the better either. It irritates me. So I dropped that series

The naming is fine. It's "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance". From the title we know instantly it's a Metal Gear related game, and "Rising: Revegeance" describes the general theme of the game, which is Raiden's Revenge/Vengeance.

It's understandable if you don't like "Action/Adventure" titles. No matter what I say, or you are shown of the game, if you don't want to play a game of this nature it won't make any differnece. I will say that it plays almost nothing like DMC. They are different in nature and only share vague similarities.

I have been since I purchased the ZOE HD Collection (because Jehuty in 1080p) and now i'm bored of it! :lol:

lol then we suffer together! I've been awaiting Raiden's solo/action title debut since the first hints were dropped in the Secret Movie at the end of Solid 3, and then the official announcement of the pre-platinum build in 2009!

But the wait will be more than worth it. :)

What I meant by fighting style like the combos. Or the way you can keep slashing enemies in the air. But I see your point. Any other games you pre ordered? I plan on buying Last of us.
