how the hell can people beat liquid on big boss hard etc... i'm no rookie(lol i sound just like akuba) and i can't beat him on naked normal. I think the problem is the last fight game is kinda diffrent to the rest of the game.

Dont go for the grabs, go for the standard hits, and dodge alot until you get a chance to strike. You think its annoying on hard? Try on extreme  It took me a fair few attempts on extreme. Just dont be overly agressive, be patient and make sure you avoid his huge punch during the second phase of the fight onwards.

I know what you mean... the second phase is hard when liquid does his "Take This" punches which F your health

Haven't played it in a long while and there are new things to download, if you haven't played in a while, either.

I think I've missed those last 2 camos (last one i got was Beauty IIRC). I have every gun accept the Solar Gun, so i'm ok in that department :).

I would play MGS4 more, but I dont like the maps all that much, I like most of them, but the one that basically ruins the game for me, is the one people seem to play most. The name slips my mind now, but it's the one with the huge street, right down the center. Any other map, great i can enjoy a fantastic game of MGO, that one and I actually end up switching off, it's just so depressing to play such a linear map which is so dominated by snipers. I don't even just quit the game because it irritates me just the thought of playing that one map.

CODES

pkhhnwhstjt = Patriot

Hi there. Thanks so much for posting the passwords for the weapons. I appreciate your kindness! 👍
But when I enter the password for the Patriot, it said "Password is incorrect".. is there anything wrong with the password itself? :dunce:

That's because I gave the wrong code.

The correct code is pkhhnwhsjt.

Sorry about that.

I know which one you mean. The side streets each side (1 each side really) are the main fun area on that map I've found (played it for the first time the last couple of nights)

It amazes me how many people ignore cardboard boxes :sly:

Trying to avoid spoilers.
I only have the PS3 for about a month and was wondering if MGS4 is still as sneaky and slow paced as the rest of the series? Also can the very long cut scenes be skipped? How are the graphics and gameplay?

Yes, and no. You can make it what you want. But you are more highly rewarded for being sneaky.

Also can the very long cut scenes be skipped?
Yes, or paused.

How are the graphics and gameplay?
The best graphics you will ever see and I loved the gameplay. In fact, I got so used to the gameplay that I got angry when Uncharted wouldn't let me lie on the ground. If you liked the past games you will love this.

Wow really the graphics are that good? I have to check it out for sure then. I will probably skip most of the cinemas like I did in the other games since I will be limited on time with it. I will try to get it by this weekend. I went all the way through MGS2 but hardly played MGS3 at all.

Look at the cover of the box. It looks like that.

This is great. Video games do teach us stuff.

Turkish inmate escapes jail in cardboard box, Solid Snake approves

We've all heard that life imitates art -- but we rarely hear of instances of life imitating video games (LARPing events notwithstanding). However, a certain 42-year-old Turkish citizen who recently decided to end his seven-year prison sentence prematurely must have been a sizable Metal Gear Solid fan -- using a five-foot by four-foot cardboard box set aside for stationary shipment, the Turk (whose name has yet to be revealed to the media) effectively mailed himself out of a German prison.

Police expect that the once-incarcerated man, who is still at large, had help both on the outside and the inside, though his fellow prisoners are remaining tight-lipped about his Solid Snake-esque evacuation. One of his accomplices reportedly spoke to authorities about the former inmate's other escape tactics -- one involved distracting his jailers with a bevy of nudie mags, while another required the man to wait for the prison's night guard to inexplicably announce his fatigue to his captivated audience.

Hideo Kojima wins "lifetime achievement" award from MTV:

Jade is so hawt... oh, and MGS5 *CONFIRMED*!

Sorry, did more research and it looks like it's all just rumor and speculation. I don't think it'll happen, but I guess we'll find out on the 12th of December!

No, please tell us more.

It's something that was stated, unofficially/officially by Kojima before the release of MGS4, that a special downloadable scene will be made available about six months after the game's release. Coinciding with the story, Snake had six months to live, and well, it's been six months since the release date of MGS4! So, you tell me what the scene is about! HINT:
Plus, we never heard Kojima as "The Voice of God," now did we?

OTHER BIG NEWS!

MGS4 on the 360, or new AC!D game?

Kojima is a god. He has the 360 fanboys creaming their pants. Some how they believe power buttons are only on 360s.

They can make a good arguement with this... http://img399.imageshack.us/img399/9417/oh****pm6.jpg

My PC and cell phone have similar looking buttons and logos on them. And I have seen some cars that do too.

I also have a tie with the power logo all over it (Power Tie, get it?).

Aside from the neon green I see nothing that really points at the 360.

Although, I have to agree with Solid Fro on one thing. 360 fanboys were trash talking MGS4 the moment it was said it would not be on the 360. The moment it has been rumored that a 360 port may happen many of them have changed their story.

:)

Seriously though, why is this a surprise. It was over a year ago that Kojima already said he wants to make some kind of MGS game for the 360... just not MGS4 as the 360 hardware didn't match his requirements... and frankly nor did the PS3, but it was much less of a compromise.

Given the fact that it is no secret that Kojima has had interest in making a MGS game for the 360, and given that power button is green, while the international sign for the power button is universal, and there are plenty of green ones to be found, is it really that much of a stretch to believe this is indeed a subtle hint that they have something in the works for the 360?

If I were a MGS fan and only owned a 360, I would find this subtle confirmation to be something worth getting excited over. 👍

But after MGS4 he also said he was done with MGS, and has been meeting with RPG makers.

Also, note that image does not say Metal Gear Solid. It just says Metal Gear. Perhaps a new Metal Gear series?

Either way if it doesn't have Kojima I cannot see it being as good (glances at the Acid games and Snake's Revenge :nervous: ).

The PS3 has the same power button. Again, the add could mean something or nothing. That's Kojima's style. Love him for it, like I do. :)

Kojima is laughing at his desk.

I'm trying to find which of those you posted has a neon green power button icon and which of those has anything that even comes close to resembling the upside down and right side up explanation points... as seen on the 360 and Kojima's teaser.

💡

Kojima is laughing at his desk.
Be careful... he may be laughing at you, or maybe PS3 fanboys who refuse to accept the fact that Kojima has interest in making games for the 360, or perhaps others will be laughing if some Metal Gear game is officially announced for the 360.

If I were to lay a bet down though, I'd be betting it was in fact a hint that a MG game is going to be released for the 360.
