That just goes to show how stupid the tabloids are for what they've been saying in the past week.

So now CNN has a headline story that fish oil might help with traumatic brain injuries, will be interesting to see if Schumacher's family or docs tries that at some point either after the coma is over or before.

I'd be a little skeptical as popular health isn't always correct health....., and the example they used was 16 years old & the younger the better for life threatening injuries like brain trauma, burns, etc. Also genetics plays a bit part in recovery but who knows, maybe this Omega 3 thing has something to it. Fish oil has been used by athletes for an awfully long time, there are a lot of people who swear by it in the sports world, but this is the first time I've head of that for head injuries.

It's not only the omega-3 in fish oil that is important, it's also EPA and DHA.

Omega-3 in fish comes from the food a fish eats. => e.g. algae.

Not the most shocking news but Schumacher's talisman has been found in the snow where he had his accident.

Shocking news. According "experts" and I think these are medical experts, normally a patient is kept in an induced coma for maximum 3 à 4 weeks. The fact that they keep him longer in an induced coma means that he's probably having severe brain damage.

Schumacher will never be the same, they say.

Schumacher will never be the same, they say.

Every neurogical paciete won't be the same.It all depends what brain damage he had and where.Every part of brain have differente function and those part which are damage need to be relearn and that take's time...Brain need to take over functions which have been deleted.

Curently his brain need to rest(induced coma),later nerv stimulation(depends what damage he has) and good healty food and rehabilitation.Main thing is to feed his brain with sugar, oxigen and amino fuel.

I believe he will be "fine",doubt he will be the same good driver but you never know:)

He's not going to be 100% fine. Nobody ever can be 100% the same as they were before. I have good hopes for him being able to live a fairly (using the term loosely) normal life afterwards.

Now I'm not a doctor but everyone for good health or recovering injuries need healty food and a varied diet. Food is a natural medicine. Omega 3 surely have several benefits, now they have to try something and hopefully figure out the best diet for his conditions.

Wow, just horrible. I thought since we haven't hear too much about it him, it was getting better. Looks like not the case.

It's just so sad that one the greatest race car drivers of all time has had this happen to him. I do hope he pulls through enough to be alive and cognitive to what has happened, though that kind of life might be a living hell for him.

I still can't believe that this happened. It's incredible; this man has survived 300 kph crashes in F1 and is fighting for his life after a 30 kph crash. Un - freaking - believable.

Just read something similar an hour ago...

:ouch:
I hate to use the term, but it's utter 🤬. Once one tabloid makes up another completely baseless story, it spreads. Unless it comes from his family or the hospital, don't bother reading it.

Sad indeed. I thought for sure with this thread getting active again, he would be okay. :guilty:
Hopefully its not true. False rumors are easy to spread online.

Every time I hear somthing like that, I'm reminded of Dale Earnhardts accident which in comparison to his previous wipeouts was very tame.

It just shows that even though they race their hearts out doing things that the average joe would dream of, Their still human and fragile like us and sometimes sadly, even the basic things in life will be the cause of their demise. :(

Its the main reason I respect anyone who's office Is/Was a Steel/Carbon bodied, V8 powered Racer.

Here's hoping Schumacher recovers the best he can from this accident. :nervous:

I have to disagree. Dale's accident "appeared" tame, but in actuality was nothing of the sort. It was a very violent impact as he was doing nearly 200mph when he struck the wall nose first. But because it was not a very dramatic accident in which body panels flew off and debris was scattered all over, many people assume it was not that bad of an impact. Quite the contrary.

I probably should've phrased it differently but yeah, :dunce: thanks for the correction. 👍

I seem to be reading differing opinions on the conclusions you can draw from the fact he is still kept in a Coma. Fingers crossed.

It's a good thing, but all the tabloid newspapers are making out it's the end of the world and there's no more hope.

I was having dinner at my folks today, my mum asked me what I thought about Schumacher becoming a vegetable! Lord knows what they print in the 'news' papers.... pretty disgusting really.

It makes my blood boil with the 🤬 they put in those papers.

These tabloid arseholes are fulfilling a demand, I guess. With each day that passes, I wonder about Schumi's condition, and I guess that a few million others (at the very least) are wondering too.

And they should be left to wonder. I'm sure the hospital staff would let the world know if his condition dramatically worsened or improved. In the meantime the constant demand for new information when there is none is unfair on Schumacher, his family and all the medical staff that are acting purely in his best interests.

Be thankful there's no new information - it means his condition hasn't worsened.
