Mykolas...first visit here. I didn't know you updated so much. I am really used to people kind of naming their galleries and naming specific updates. Your Audi update, along with the Rx-7 meeting and Puegot update, are indeed quite nice. You have nice composition and some nice skills. I like that they are all unedited. You can definitely see an improvement over a short period of time. Just draw more attention to your gallery would ya? 👍 Now bring on the next update.

The fact you didn't visit was part of the larger picture..Anyway welcome, welcome..Naming galleries and specific updates? If you mean changing the thread title I don't know how to do that..but shouldn't seeing my thread at the top of the list when its updated all that can be done??Subscribe to the thread. I hope the foreign sounding name doesn't turn people off, I actually wanted just "Michael" from the Germanic, but that wasn't available, so I tried a list of international equivalents. Plus "Mykolas Pics" sounds too casual I guess.
Thanks for the compliments!

You had me fooled with the first Supra shot, I thought it was real. The rest are good too, but the first one is amazing. The NSX's are nice too, I love profile shots.

Thanks Minoltaman, yeah the softness turned out just right, and the sun reflecting on the silver paint really does the trick.

Well I finally have a bit more time to stick around here. To change the name of your gallery just edit the first post. Then change the title above the main body.
Anywho, man that first supra does look quite real...No full size shots though? The portrait shot of the denso doesn't really suit me, but that last shot of the Gillet is awesome. 👍

Thanks Swiss, that Denso doesn't do it for you eh? I love shots that just are just between the car & track. The camera was fixed to the ground as it follwed the Gillet, thats why it looks so good. Too bad you can't control that aswell..

They're fairly different, but similar enough that I might aswell delete one I guess...The second is better, I wanted the rear wing to be visible to show the full form of the car, it was so close to peek over the roof in the first shot, it made the contour of the car somewhat wobbly. In that situation if I lowered the camera to give a more frontal view of the car the perspective would be very distorted and you'd be able to some of the signs and advertisements aswell, and an awkward pole, in the background which I didn't want.

I had to give up a piece of the sky in the top left and some of the rich greenery but I got the best compromise in the end I think.

The first shot of the Ruf at Infineon is a very good frontal shot, no wing required. I think the piece of friction pad in the bottom left balances everything out well.

Sounds like you were in a rush, I'm glad you felt you had to comment anyway :)(:odd:).

Especially when the track is in focus and the car isn't.

You might want to start watching the way you talk to people around here. Hurling insults around won't get you very far.

 That was no insult! I'm having trouble how you understood that, I assume its the "you"? I'm referring to the camera, too bad you cannot fix the camera.
Especially when the track is in focus and the car isn't.
"the Denso doesn't do it for you eh?" sounded sarcastic as I look at it at this point, so I understand the negativity. But I meant that in the positive light.

Otherwise I don't see the problem in not focusing the car due to the perspective of the shot, the way the road vanishes to the top right.

btw thank you Audi fan, I didn't see your comment when I wrote post #44, and while we are at it, I apologize to Minoltaman for sounding negative, but I wasn't THAT negative :)..

Well Michael, I see that we have gotten off on the wrong foot. A simple misunderstanding that kind of blew up.
My apologies for this misunderstanding.
I still have to say that I love the way you shoot. Great composition.

edit: btw, i like the *UPDATE* in your gallery title. Very noticable :D

Noo problem, I'm glad to see we're on the same page now.:sly: And incase I never made it clear your shots are excellant too. Theres a Weds Celica shot you did and edited that stands out in my mind, its a perfect 10 in my book.
S-line
Very nice composition. The angles are also well. Great!
Thanks

Your compostion is good, next obvious step would be to start editing.
Why thank you, yes it gnaws in the back of mind how it looks on your guys monitors. I have yet to see the shots on an LCD monitor which can make the colors brighter, do the shots have the grey haze problem?

Some Audi R8 at New York, Fuji and Seattle, also following the Driver Focus theme.

Looks great on my 22" Samsung LCD :D

Your shots look great unedited. I can only assume so due to the existance of the watermark. But you could just be lazy in that regard :sly:
You have some really fresh composition. Too bad you missed the 'driver focus' theme. Put yourself in these comps! I think you will do well.
Next step for you if it interests you is delve into car cleaning. Beware:It can be a cruel world :D
also btw: Nice job on the R8!

Watermark? You mean the 'Gran Turismo 4/cSCEI' at the bottom right, right? It makes it look more official:dopey:
Yeah I barely missed it, I probably would've chosen the overhead shot of the S2000, showing the close relationship of the driver and the road, while he clings to the friction pad for survival. The shot at Apricot Hill is better but could be argued that the driver is not in focus enough.
Here are week 51 shots, Corvette Theme.
