Hello guys.
Have the mid-race saves been added in the update?
If so how do you do it, I´ve tryed to do the 24h of mans, but there is no way to save the game.

They have. You go into the pits, and hit the Suspend button and it's saved. Bear in mind you can't do anything else in the game whilst your race is suspended.

yup would have liked it if you could play around in arcade mode though like gt4!

You can. Just copy save game data to pen drive (one with endurance saved)

Then you exit endurance and play arcade mode. If you want to continue endurance - just copy save game data from usb... and rejoin the race.

simple as that.

Bazylfox, can you confirm this actually works as you describe ?
Backup, then cancel resume, play online, restore save, resume endurance as nothing happened ?
Of course you winnings will be lost as you restore your save game (the suspended race).

give me an hour and i'll confirm that

update:

i can confirm. Just started Tsukuba 9h and after 1st lap went to pits and saved the race.
then i exited the game and copy save into my usb stick.
I started the game and canceled the endurance race. Loaded high speed ring and done two laps.
then i exited the game and copied previous save from usb.
started the game and it asked me to continue tsukuba again.

simple and easy :)

So this means I can do the endurance races and not lose any trade days!
that's all that has stopped me.
Good work :)

Thanks, I', doing this if i want to race online while i'm in endurance race.

You will lost xp and cr from online race after you resume endurance race from save, but you don't have to lost endurance progres if you want to do something else in gt5.

There is an even easier way, have 2 accounts on 1 PS3 suspend a race on account 1 then go into account 2 and play all you like, when you want to continue your endurance just go ibto account 1 and carry on.

Simples.

Yeah my reason too

Brilliant thinking of the Bazylfox! Thank you very much.

Now I just need to finish the endurance before the Giftbox is full with cars haha!

Cheers

If you suspend the race then continue straight away does it still save that position?

Just wondering if there's anyway to save it midway into the Le Mans 24 but still continue driving?

Suspend button?
I´m Portuguese, is it the one that goes directly to the ps3 menu?
More or less yes. I will explain it to you. When you enter in the pits you will see the usual options(change tires and how much fuel you want to put in your car), but now also on those options you will see the suspend button(suspender in portuguese). You click on it, the game saves and then it tells you to leave the game, you click the PS button and leave the game. When you play GT5 again it will ask you if you want to resume the race, if you click yes you continue the endurance.

Thanks dude, this is exactly the information I was looking for.

Careful when suspending the race at Tsukuba. (the 9hr enduro).

I did this, reloaded the game and instead of continuing in to the pits the car ran wide and missed the pit lane entry!!!

Still being controlled by the ps3 the car tried to re-enter the pit lane but kept crashing into the wall, then gave up and carried on round the track. This continued and your car never does pit, it just keeps going round the circuit on its own very slowly!!!

I had to quit the race!

:(

You can solve this by entering pit road yourself very slowly before the save, or so I've been told by others on this forum. I had it happen to me in the 4 hour event, but thankfully I had a huge lead and only an hour to go, so I/the computer still managed to win.

I will try this

I tried this and it worked the first time i suspended the race(i think i entered the pit doing 35 or somthing. Well the second time which i am trying to continue from now i was doing 25 and it keeps shooting wide and i can't continue. I was doing the 4hr roadster race and so i guess i either have to wait till tomorrow or just forget about the 2 hrs i already put into it.:(

When doing Tsukuba 9h i was saving like 4-5 times and then rejoining.

First time i had that speeding bug and when rejoining the race ai was overshooting pits.

When i restarted the race again i always was slowing down to 100km/h (~60miles) and never had that problem since. (i saved and rejoined endurance 4-5 times)

Just remeber to slow down a bit and carefully enter pit lane at beginning of it.

Oh, sorry man. Like I said before, when it happened to me I had enough of a lead that the AI managed to win the race for me.

2.01 patch has not fixed the pit issue on tsukuba 9h endurance race.

more or less the same issue. when the game resumes, the car is on the circuit but doesnt try to reenter the pits - it just drives the car around the circuit on auto-pilot at full speed (rather than half-throttle)

A well there is that.... :dunce: good call, good call!!!!!

I'm in the middle of the 24hr Le Mans endurance race and now the 2.01 update came out. I'm wondering if i do the update if my game save will still be there or that i have to complete the race offline before doing the update first. Can anyone tell me?

suspending your endurance race makes your daily percentage drop so you dont get as much cr. & xp if you log back in the day after to continue it
