I always thought moss would gradually spread if you placed a block of mossy cobble. I may be wrong though...

Yeah, the moss doesn't spread like grass or vines do. If moss could spread like that, I'd set up a mossy cobblestone farm and finish my basement.

The rule is if you didn't build it, you can't destroy it. I am rebuilding the NPC village (that I originally found) as I was not aware that things like this were included (And I'm not happy Venturi was dumped right next to it). Therefore also no one is allowed to look in/take from chests and/or take blocks from dungeons, strongholds, nether forts or those abandoned mineshafts, as they are all the same thing.
I agree that moderators/admins should be allowed to spawn the blocks found at these locations for people. Or better yet, if a dummy account was made just to set up a shop for selling these special blocks, without any particular admin/mod getting money for spawned blocks.

I don't agree with the "nobody is allowed to look in chests in dungeons, strongholds, nether forts, or abandoned mineshafts" at all.

I mean, the reward of explorering would then be gone.

Just looking at some reference pics of NPC villages, should have the last 3 buildings up soon.

That If you didnt build it then you cannot destroy it was a rule that was pretty much when the server was announced back whenever.

It should be You found it You get it,

Well Dunc told me that that rule is still in effect, and we wouldn't want to have different standards for the same things would we.

When people break things its normally a jail or a temp ban, after things keep happening then its a perm ban while Yes jai was given another chance but he had to prove himself

Indeed. I've always assumed that chests that are generated by the world are free to loot and destroy, because that's what they're there for.

Well we need to sort this out without having a silly contradiction within the 'law'. npc villages, dungeons, abandoned mineshafts, nether forts and strongholds are all created (and therefore owned) under the same system/code. It'd be silly to allow 'harvesting' blocks/items from some and not others.

I would say don't destroy NPC village blocks.
Mineshafts, strongholds etc. are free to loot.

I can agree to this. Mostly because it keeps me out of jail.

All I've done is loot and harvest a couple of dungeons and I'm in the process of doing the same to an abandoned mineshaft. I believe NPC villages should be treated properly because they can be added to and cleaned up so everyone can enjoy them. 👍

I believe we'd ALL be in jail if this was put into effect.

Really?

It's not that hard to understand that there is a big difference between discovering a stronghold with some rewards and burning down a village. :odd:

Server is back up now.

Such mayhem in less than 24 hours. I might consider leaving but I know this can go a LOT worse so maybe I'll stick around to see how things go.

Tesla, how's the boat coming along?

I made a post a while back, it's difficult getting the 3D model file to have enough polygons to have a good enough resolution in block form. My computer can't handle anything more than 50 thousand or so entities :(

Why not try a simple boat? AKA - Sailing or pirate ship? Fishing boat? Speed boat? Coast guard type of boats? There's many you can do. Titanic isn't recommended, but you can do it. Remember though, no spawning of items.

Because bigger is better :sly: I can always use cobblestone  I've left my computer processing the 50k entities while I'm out, hopefully that'll up the resolution.

I don't have a problem with people spawning stuff but I wish they'd consider the landscape and structures already built near them when building. Whacking a sodding great skyscraper made of gold into the middle of a small town with wooden houses in is always going to look ridiculous and annoy everyone.

I used snow for my out of place skyscraper

Also, expect another one to pop in in Central Strawberry, between the Tower of Jai and Tlowrs Wooden Drug Tower.
