Are there no aggressive mobs in Torisands? I haven't seen a single one there yet.

Yeah just don't mess with any of the existing houses in town, there are plots of land around that anyone can build on. In the downtown area, I have to dig it out more but you can build on the grass. I'm hoping downtown will turn into a colorful shopping precinct but people can build houses there too.

I'm going to work on sorting out that beach area too, so that there's proper depth water there, then people can build beachfront houses, but I think if Dunc world edited in water/oceanness about 10 blocks deep it should be ok and save some time (downtown is under it, but should be safe if ocean is only 10 blocks deep)

Oh and yes, Aggressive mobs are disabled for Tori Sands.

No I disabled them because they messed with the game town a bit. Would you like them turned back on?

I just like building in as close to a survival setting as possible, but I can see how that might inconvenience other people. It would be nice if there was a way to set mob spawning settings for individual towns and such.

I wouldn't turn spawning on unless we brightened up the towns or at least separated the dark areas from the light so mobs couldn't get to people. I am glad the zombies don't seem to break doors in Rapture at least. I took a trip to my old red house (which was pretty dilapidated for some reason) and a horde of zombies were banging on the doors but couldn't get in.

I've not seen this happen before:

Super Zombie Siege!

What texture is that?

Hmm, seems the map is a bit broken Dunc. A lot of the chunks are off and some are at a different scale then others. I wonder why it's like that? Or is it just on my end?

There's a couple places that look cool on the map but when I try to find them I'm just floating in water.

Made a few changes. Hopefully it will stop the crashes.

*edit*
Dust driver was just on and I totally missed him! :grumpy:

What are you using to generate the map Dunc? I'm trying to figure out what would cause this:

Is it trying to load from multiple worlds at once? It just seems strange that it doesn't update even when you go to those spots and the chunks load on the server.

Something must have gone wrong during the render. I'll re render it tonight and see if that fixes it.

I wasn't really doing anything, was testing the 3D function with my new red-cyan glasses :dopey:

How did it look?

Will we ever see you back on the server?

It actually looks cool.
I don't have much time to spend on games at the moment though.
Maybe I'll be online next week. I want to build something. Do the golden tools and /repair still work?

Repair should but it was found that golden tools could smash open chests so they were removed.

I'm on the server now. Anyone going to join?

Sorry, at work for the next 8 hours. :grumpy:

Too bad, they save a lot of time. Together with the lack of TNT, it takes a lot of time to clear out a large room.

I think TNT is available at the moment as the plugin that blocked it has not been updated.

I could always make you a super pickaxe. :)

Maybe...

Just found an up to date TNT plugin. It can actually be modified so that TNT only destroys dirt, stone, grass etc and nothing else.

You do realise how easy it is to grief with plugins like that? The house might be fine but it's not so great living in a floating house above a 15-block TNT crater :sly:

It can also be used to set a height limit above which TNT cannot be detonated. I'll set it to around 40.

Would be nice if there was a tnt plugin that could restrict use in different locations instead of layers.

I haven't found one that does that but I'll look in to it. Regios might be able to do it.

Tori's Nether is broken or something (despite the fact that it doesn't lag anymore, porting there used to require a reconnect afterwards). Can kill mobs but their carcass gets stuck and drop no xp, can't pickup the drops (they don't attack either, just sit there).

By the way Dunc, I did realize that if I'm going to build something in Torisands, I'm probably going to use wool, and I usually get my dyes by using bonemeal on the ground and collecting the flowers. I'd have to go to one of the other worlds in order to get bonemeal unless mobs were enabled. I don't want to inconvenience others but I'm not sure how much of a problem it was in the past. Whatever you do is up to you.

Blow up??? When has that happened?

No you don't get kicked anymore.

That's fine. Game Town is now protected by Regios so I can use that to turn of mobs. I'll re enable them in Tori Sands.

Ok, done.
