Rhys? Bad? Since when? If anything, he is quite a "good Brit". He is a moderator, after all. ;) He's helped me many times.
 
I think all the old people such as RZ and Dust should come back so I can make them all mods and Deputys and together we can RULE THIS WORLD WITH AN IRON FIST AND MAKE IT GREAT AGAIN!!!!!

But seriously, how do we get this server back to being fun again?

Also, what happened to Fler? I've PM'ed him but he seems to have just vanished!

If he doesn't come back soon, I might have to make Moglet an admin! Provided he is online more. ;)

Stop the arguing that goes on, it's honestly why I quit going on. I still play Minecraft a couple times a week but I just can't bring myself to deal with the arguing and whatnot that goes on while on the server. It's really a shame too since the server has so many cool plugins.

Just my $.02 on why I bugged out, although I wouldn't mind giving it another chance.
 
Ok, so I wasn't on the server for a bit, and I came back to find my main house in ToriSands to be "compacted" lol and the fireplace was missing. Looking in the chest, only one wooden plank is left where there were diamonds and gold and iron ingots? What happened?
 
I have an idea. A new map of STARTING OVER. Just like Strawberry, no taking items from the other worlds and start off new. Disable PvP, and let it run Vanilla for a while. Once things calm down, allow the other worlds. (Oh, and allow Lockette, just because of stealers) The reason why is because it felt a lot more peaceful in the beginning days of Strawberry when I first joined. Sponge, Fiat, Ryou, Riffeh, Jai, Vic, Dunc, turtlenajder, Rhys, Moglet, Enki, and others that were there during the time. Bloody hell that was fun. Back when we were scared ****less because creepers were enabled, the fact that we actually had to explore and not fly to get around. The fact that everyone had a great time and we had great conversations. I miss that. It was what made me want to stay in DQ, now it's just griefers and the whole Group Adam vs. Brit Group vs. DQCraft Veterans. (Before Tori) I miss the early Strawberry days. I want to return to that.

This. Honestly, I can't be bothered with the server anymore, whilst knowing peace isn't an option on there. It would be good to return to that, wouldn't it?

One thing I've noticed is that nobody mines any longer, could have something to do with all the stuff being spawned recently. Jai, is not someone who is against anyone on this server. One thing I dislike, is reading the chat to find rude sentences about people's family's and Jews in some cases. I have over 400 diamond blocks, wonder why? They were spawned for me, no, I didn't ask. I've adapted to not flying in Tori. Sadly, I missed the beginning of Rapture, Thorncombe and Strawberry, but have built in all three of these places. Some creations, maybe not very classy, but certainly creative. As much as I like the Vanilla concept, if someone accidentally blows a Creeper on someone's land, they all start kicking off... Also, Ryou needs to come back, I liked the colourful floors he used in his homes. :3

White carpets are bland, man. Psychedelic carpets, man.

Lately I've been flooring my houses with the "Mahogany-like" wood. It suits my house styles a tad better than lighter opponents.

This, along with the arguing, is the main issue with this server. Yes, as much as I hate to do it, I'm calling you out right now Dunc. I still can't go to sleep, and last time I checked /deathtp still didn't work. If you're going to run a server, you need to maintain it and make life easier for its players.

I thought you were our night in shining armor, Dunc! :p Well glad to hear you're looking for an admin, honestly the server was left in the open there for a bit.
 
I agree with Tlowr. I am glad Dunc is looking for a new Admin. I think that we need to get rid of the fighting by banning any griefer's such as Jai, Sponge and Psychoslayer.

Sponge doesn't grief a lot, and Jai keeps his griefing at a minimum. Psychoslayer is already banned. What I want is that Vanilla world.

EDIT - And in response to the creeper statement, return the friendly creepers!
 
Korza, I do not believe just an Admin will really fix anything. Some people on the server are sneaky and will attempt to work their way around things. Besides, when has an Admin ever banned anyone in DQCraft? Duncan should just ban whoever immediately, and keep the server under control to offer the best.

If I wanted to, I could tear down half of Rapture and Thorncombe, burn down the whole of Strawberry, and destroy ToriSands and grief most of the land and not have a single person know. In fact, anyone can. It's just how the server is. Almost no one is on during the weekdays, fire spread is turned on, moderators and deputies can't roll back, there's no admins, and so on. So instead of jailing for griefing a whole city, ban them. No exceptions. Someone is being a **** and trolling? Jail them. I hate how the server is right now, the new guys think they are worth more and are more right than the veterans and there is no respect or friendliness in the blocks that cover the server.
 
Why do we allow griefing at all. If we tell people not to grief and they do it anyway, and then we let them continue on the server, what reason do they have not to grief? I'm not one to use the term "enabler" but that's exactly what's happening.

At the very least a strikes policy is in order. Just telling people to "not grief too much" is not helping the server run.

Not to mention, we could be more strict about bickering. It's not that hard to stay out of a conversation. People who continue to fight with each other should be given a break from the server and a longer break if they do it again.

Laws in real life aren't based on "as long as you don't do it too much, it's not illegal." Why should the server work like that?

This. Not that I am asking for a promotion or anything (I'm not that type of person), but, this is why I should have been an Administrator, or Moderator.. all along. I was on most of the time, I had used my powers for the right reason, and I kept a watch.. reporting everything I noticed. DQCraft lacks the people like that, now. It's just a bunch of kids who want to be "trolls". Anyone, as it seems, can get away with anything. Duncan, watch the server..

[/Why I quit DQCraft in a nutshell]
 
Remove fire spread, remove the ability for TNT to blow, add chat censors, remove the ability for Creepers to blow up. If done so, we wouldn't need all these ranks, 2 Mods are enough.
 
^^ I got one to add. Stop using those scary colours when it's mid day and the glare from the monitor is bad enough without talking to a rainbow. :p

Point is people, everyone has differant ideas. If we go with one, someone else gets pissed off and leaves because they didn't get their way. I think I can safely say we've all done that at one point or another. So why don't we just let Dunc decide, since it is his server after all 👍. We can give tips, but the worst thing to do is say "I want this, I want that, if I don't get it I'll leave". And the worst thing for players that have left, is for them to say "This is why I left, See, see, this person did this, bla bla bloody bla".

^^ Would some changes perhaps entice you to return? It's lonely on there without you, and Jai made a mistake.

I've often thought about just starting over with a new world but there has been so much done in the other worlds that I don't want to get rid of them!
 
I would love for you to just make a vanilla world, just like how it was at the beginning. The way it became, with super-powered members and more plug-ins than you can shake a stick at, is the reason I've really not come back nor tried to. I mean, I'll be back home in two months, and a lot can happen, but if the server remains the same, I doubt I'll spend much time on it.

Oh, and by the way, the whole burning issue is why I make my houses out of stone. If someone blows it up, then hopefully it's easier to figure out who.
 
Maybe a new world would be nice. And no, Ryou, I didn't mean all of ze British Pack was bad, just saying. I do not get too well along with Rhys, but he's ok.

I won't delete any worlds so they will still be available for download, and can be added back in at any time if we want to visit them.

Perhaps we should organise to meet at the weekend and get the new world started. We should make a better spawn. I've seen some really nice ones where people have to walk through a nice building reading the signs before entering the world.

I want to have lots of little towns scattered about. A lot like the one Jai is building now, or like the one in StrawberryFields.

Please state any other recomendations.

I would be keen on helping with the spawn. we should make it into a little town but have the actual spawn point in a building like you suggested.

I would also like to download the existing worlds. 👍
