Diamond tools don't last long enough. I use 1 up every 2 hours or even faster sometimes.
 
There is a mod that makes gold tools really good. I don't know if it makes them better than diamond. I'll look into it.

Gold tools as they stand dig faster than Diamond. They only get 26 uses, compared to 1000 or so for diamond.

If there was one that you could alter the durability for gold tools only for premo members, would be epic for those users.

...Hmm, well ordinarily I would say "No!" but...due to your hawtness, I could make an exception ;)👍

Some pics of the castle, nearly finished the second floor:
I've got an automated door system with pistons and fences to look like a gate (even though it doesn't really :L), that's linked to pressure plates. All the wiring is hidden (I hate exposed redstone :yuck:)

Cannot connect to the server. And when I eventually do I just end up on a square of land...

And should I become VIP and/or it is allowed to everyone, it would be PERFECT for around my secret hideout, holding back any intruders and/or mobs that head my way. :D

However, I'm assuming you'd need a RAM and/or CPU upgrade to run something like that, and we really need it anyway...I suppose.I know it is needed if the Music area is to go ahead. Weather we do it with railtracks (the way I'm doing it) or with that program and redstone, it'll lag unless we get an upgrade of something.
If I may ask, what are the specs as they stand?

It won't be a VIP only thing. There will just be a few of them around the village and rapture. I'll give it go and see how the server copes.

It's not the best pc! Athlon64 3200+ 1GB RAM. I might try and do a RAM upgrade soon.
 
^^ Ah, so no guards then. :(

Do they like, spawn randomly within Rapture and we have to 'employ' them somehow? Or is it that you just put them there to do their job and we don't really interact with them except for buying and selling to them?

It's back up now.

NOTE: Do not kill Lurch with a bow and arrow as for some reason it crashes the server!

Where'd trebor's Thorncombe house go? Theres just an empty patch where it was!

I keep getting socket exemption errors as well...
 
I just can't connect at all. Haven't been able to since 12 this morning (8.5 hours ago :crazy:)

THE CASTLE IS DONE!!!!​

Since I can't connect to the server, Imma take a few screenshots and post them of the finished project. I'll work on it some more once it's imported, I'll need some stone, glowstone and other items which I shall put in chests and hope that they stay there when it's imported.

Also, Dunc, how would we go about importing it. I might have to send you the save file and a copy of my minecraft.jar (I've got certain mods installed which may corrupt the save if you don't use my minecraft.jar). I'm on a Mac and WorldEdit or MCEdit or whatever it is isn't compatable sooo....

The server is up and people are connected, what error are you getting?
